Obviously this can't be done,

but let's be realistic and say we as human beings study different species's DNA from the past, and we are able to determine that for example Australopithecus shares much of the same DNA that exists in humans, but that it can't mate with a homo sapiens.

So we find a 2million year old Australopithecus and we dig up its body and we do a DNA analysis, and find it has 99% of the DNA as a homo sapien in modern times.

Is this the breakthrough missing link of Evolution?

I'm just curious, what qualifies as a Missing Link or the proof of Evolution,

what cracks this baby open and makes it scientific law?

Does the genetic evolution of other species not count? Like Barnacles?

And a pre-emptive strike doctrine, don't give me that bs about 2nd law of thermodynamics, universe is not in equilibrium so, STFU about 2nd law of thermodynamics thats bogus science and you all know it.

I was under the impression that two things were considered "missing links"

1. The skulls of creatures between man and ape, which show the growth of the brain and which have been found in numerous places.

2. The hip bone that enabled the early humans to stand upright, which has been found in numerous places in the last few years.

I have seen the skulls with my own eyes in museums and have seen the hip bones on a couple of shows about evolution on the Science Channel, which i watch daily.

What else is needed?

If you were to build a time machine and go back 2 million years you would be very disappointed to find out that God had not created the earth yet. How sad it would be for you to discover the Christians were right all along.

Just a quick side note to Pat. What you are referring to is called micro-evolution. You start off with a seal from day one and it evolves into a seal better adapted for the environment. However it is still a seal, it does not evolve into a cow, goat, alligator, bird or human being. I have no problem what so ever with micro-evolution.

lol bogus science on these laws but evolution is a fact? meh, who cares, why are people bent on proving we are monkeys. im going to live in the now and not care what happend millions of years ago. why dont you all do the same. lol.

its not like you'll ever prove existance of god, or prove evolution. its all just theorys and beliefs. why not prove that aliens came down and crossed species with monkeys and we are a hybrid? or perhaps we arent even from here but from a planet like superman was and they only sent out a few people who had to start new. *shrug* not like u can prove anything. (or disprove for that fact)

(btw nothing against you as i enjoy reading your questions i find them pretty interesting at least most of the time)

I think we should use a tranquilizer dart on the next dude who walks past with a slopeing brow, beedy eyes and lots of body-hair. Run some tests on those people and we'll probably find some answers. The missing links are amoung us. We are just too politically correct to ask them to submitt to testing. LOL
Please, if anyone darts my husband, let me know so I can come pick him up when you're done. LOL (Just kidding)

Evolution is obvious when you look at different species that are similar, that evolved in a different climate, or part of the world. Natural selection breeds stronger beings for survival in the climate they live.

A seal is evidence of this, way back in the day one seal had the ability to go on land and retrieve food better than any other seal. This made the chances for this seal to survive more likely. This in turn allowed the seal to pass on its gene, including the gene whatever it was, that made it capable of retrieving food from land easier.

The missing link was supposed to be something that came in between quadropeds and bipeds explaining, bone structure wise, how that particular trait evolved. I don't remember much of the details since I don't study it anymore, but that's supposed to be what the link was, or at least that was the case years ago.

Either way, you know me, so what I believe is that God created evolution as it is, to get us to study its mysteries and come to know Him through that, so for me that is proof of God and evolution as it is, going hand in hand.

Jim still did not get time to looked into the subject throughly but following are are the verses of Qur'an which proves evolution to be true.

2:30 Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I will create a vicegerent on earth." They said: "Wilt Thou place therein one who will make mischief therein and shed blood?- whilst we do celebrate Thy praises and glorify Thy holy (name)?" He said: "I know what ye know not."

20:55 From the (earth) did We create you, and into it shall We return you, and from it shall We bring you out once again.

71:17 "'And Allah has produced you from the earth growing (gradually),

71:18 "'And in the End He will return you into the (earth), and raise you forth (again at the Resurrection)?

The subject is interesting and there are more verses related to creation of Adam. This is initial findings.

That's a good question. I'll put this post here so I can come back later and put in an answer if I'm successful in my search.

I've always wondered the same thing myself.

Update: Talkorigins.org was the best I could find. I hope you find a better source.

Let's leave the research up to the specialists. No conclusions can be drawn, only question after question can be posed and christians are pretty touchy and bias when viewing comments on this subject. We tip-toe around the subject of religion, yet get bombarded when trying to defend our beliefs.

Note to Nathan S:
If my answer offends you, please don't bomb us or start another WW. (Isn't religion the root of most war?) Or am I just drawing attention to the radical? much like your response was.
