"this is my son the beloved whom I have approved"
Okay people its alittle obvious they are seperate.
They are not the same person.
Jesus was not crazy and yes he did give us an example but not by talking to himself/praying he always prayed to his father Jehovah God. - This sounds right to me and logical.

Jehovah's Witnesses teach that no salvation occurs without Christ, that accepting Christ's sacrifice is a requirement for true worship, that every prayer must acknowledge Christ, that Christ is the King of God's Kingdom, that Christ is the head of the Christian congregation, that Christ is immortal and above every creature, even that Christ was the 'master worker' in creating the universe! Both secular dictionaries and disinterested theologians acknowledge that Jehovah's Witnesses are a Christian religion.

Rather than quoting from such trinitarian sources as philosophy, Greek mythology, and quotes from other Babylon-loving Trinitarians, Jehovah's Witnesses believe that the Scriptures alone quite plainly demonstrate that Jesus and the Almighty are separate distinct persons, and the Almighty created Jesus as His firstborn son.

(Colossians 1:15) the firstborn of all creation

(Mark 10:18) Jesus said to him: 'Why do you call me good? Nobody is good, except one, God.

(Revelation 3:14) the Amen says, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation by God

(Philippians 2:5-6) Christ Jesus, who, although he was existing in God's form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God

(John 8:42) Neither have I come of my own initiative at all, but that One sent me forth

(John 12:49) I have not spoken out of my own impulse, but the Father himself who sent me has given me a commandment as to what to tell and what to speak

(John 14:28) I am going my way to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am

(1 Corinthians 15:28) But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him

(Matthew 20:23) this sitting down at my right hand and at my left is not mine to give, but it belongs to those for whom it has been prepared by my Father

(1 Corinthians 11:3) I want you to know that the head of every man is the Christ; ...in turn the head of the Christ is God

(John 20:17) I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God.

(Deuteronomy 6:4) Jehovah our God is one Jehovah

(1 Corinthians 8:4-6) There is no God but one. For even though there are those who are called "gods," whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many "gods" and many "lords," there is actually to us one God the Father

Jesus never preached Trinity. He never claimed divinity. He never said that he was number two in the Trinity hierarchy ( ie: The Father, Son and the Holy Ghost)
Before believing blindly any scriptures on the face of the earth, it would be better to read and understand the writings in a logical manner. One should know that the Gospels were written 65 years after the ascension of Jesus Christ. The Gospel of St.John was written ( say between 95 and 100 years after the death [ that is what the Christians believe] of Jesus.
Also note what does it mean that "The Gospel according to Mathew" It means that the Gospel was not written by Mathew, but it was written by someone else using the name of Mathew.
This is how things should be rationalised in the neutral way. Once when you look in to any scriptures in a neutral altitude, you will be able to capture the inner truth.
The divinity of Jesus as the son of God and the concept of Trinity was first promulgated in the Jewish Synagogue by St.Paul, who never met Jesus in his lifetime, though he studied in Bethlehem during the time when Jesus was preaching the Oneness of the true God Almighty, who is above everything in this world, who cannot be compared with anything and He is everlasting and the ultimate Supernatural Power.

The eyes of man refused to see Who stood before them and they lived in the darkness of their ignorance because of it...

The Trinity is most definitely a real concept, despite whatever your "logical and analytical" mind may believe or refuse to accept.

Refusal to accept reality doesn't void it's existance

Remember what Jesus said: "The simple things shall confuse the wise." I'd give you the Scripture passage, but who knows what else you might learn while (hopefully) looking it up yourself.

There's no shortcut, no "quick fix" to true wisdom!

The Trinity exists in three persons to help aid our understanding:

God is the Head ("father") of the family - He set the world into motion and all upon it.

Jesus, exisiting at the time but not yet ready to be sacrificed yet for you and me ("His time had not yet come") was there also - his "job" was to mediate even then between God and Man.

God CANNOT be in the presence or even the appearance of evil even for a second. He knew then many would make the wrong choice in Eden so Jesus was being prepared for His duty.

This is seen in the story of Isaac about to be sacrificed in the O.T.

The Spirit or Ghost exists to offer wisdom and to awaken the human mind to God, to provide a "link" between God and man. While a phone or computer cable is obviously simplistic, you get the idea.

People, like the Apostles needed someone to not only help finish growing them before their jorneys but also a Comforter to help give them wisdom, protection and above all keep them focused within a worldly, tempting environment.

Why do people always want to complicate God with "religion" and a "systematic study" - "scientific" approach?

Maybe just because something isn't from a test tube doens't make it any less real!

Just my thoughts!

I read some of the answers telling you that the trinity is to hard for human comprehension, then why do they insist the the trinity is true??? The bible clearly states that Jesus is Gods son and is separate. I tried to understand the trinity myself and did alot of research. All that research I did only strengthened my belief that the trinity is a man made doctrine and definitely not scriptural and now when I study the bible, it is so much clearer. great question

Bible does not mention the word trinity. Christians will tell you so and so verse meant it or indicated it after rattling on about it for an hour and a half and confusing the hell out of you. Actually what they're trying to say is 3 in 1 does go.

excerpt from Foundations of Faith by Robert G. Ingersoll (1895):

"Christ, according to the faith, is the second person in the Trinity, the Father being the first and the Holy Ghost the third. Each of these three persons is God. Christ is his own father and his own son. The Holy Ghost is neither father nor son, but both. The son was begotten by the father, but existed before he was begotten --just the same before as after. Christ is just as old as his father, and the father is just as young as his son. The Holy Ghost proceeded from the Father and Son, but was equal to the Father and Son before he proceeded, that is to say, before he existed, but he is of the same age of the other two.

So, it is declared that the Father is God, and the Son God and the Holy Ghost God, and that these three Gods make one God.

According to the celestial multiplication table, once one is three, and three times one is one, and according to heavenly subtraction if we take two from three, three are left. The addition is equally peculiar, if we add two to one we have but one. Each one is equal to himself and the other two. Nothing ever was, nothing ever can be more perfectly idiotic and absurd than the dogma of the Trinity."

God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit are one in the same, yet three seperate beings. Each one has the ability of acting independently, as Jesus did on His time on this Earth over two thousand years ago. The Holy Spirit indwells all true beleivers to help guide them through their lives as they read the Bible and pray. God oversees all things and all things are done through Him. Remember,If youare a child of God, Satan cannot touch you or harm you unless God allows it. read the book of Job in the Old Testament of the Bible. They maybe three seperate beings, but they are one God.

The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man’s; the Son also; but the Holy Ghost has not a body of flesh and bones, but is a personage of Spirit. Were it not so, the Holy Ghost could not ddwell in us.
-I agree, accept for Father God being Jehovah, Christ was indeed the Great I AM, God of the Old Testament, YHWH, JEHOVAH!

Stop trying to reduce God to our puny level, can't be done. Three persons, one God. Too difficult for human comprehension.

Remember we are talking about the Creator of all that exists, who caused creation by telling it to exist. We have to expect that there is MUCH about Him that we are unable to comprehend at this point of our existence.

When you are face to face with Him you will have a better understanding. The resurrected body will be "made perfect." If you don't understand then you will be able to ask.

Faith will always be part of the equation. While there is massive and overwhelming evidence of proof of Bible's truths and accuracy (faith does not always HAVE to be blind,) there are still things you will never understand and comprehend in this life.

i do no longer likely have confidence in a God anymore, yet when I did I by no potential offered into that trinity theory. it relatively is merely my very own opinion, yet to me God substitute into one and God substitute into entire. He did no longer take place himself in different techniques, by using fact why would He would desire to? I mean different than for the atypical historic adventure, I by no potential believed contained in the bible the two. it relatively is merely guy attempting to jot down a tale with reference to the unexplainable to attempt and convince human beings to transform to their faith. And an outstanding variety of the bible once you look at it, is merely undeniable ridiculous and if God substitute into actual and this substitute into His notice, then why could no longer he arise with some extra conceivable and convincing memories if he needed human beings to have confidence in him. memories that meant something, different than look - i'm God so i'll walk on water. Jesus and the Holy Spirit merely felt like ridiculous recommendations, used to adorn that fairy tale familiar by using fact the bible. I by no potential and nevertheless are not getting, why there is this theory that God is attainable in 3 varieties. WHY? Why would he would desire to?
