Making sure that you are being sanitarily safe about germs and viruses. Make sure to put plastic wrap over everything you are going to put in the fridge that is exposed.


Here are some more tips:

Cover dishes and other open containers with foil or film before storing them in the fridge. Don't re-use foil or film to wrap other foods.

After cooking, keep foods covered and piping hot (above 63°C) until it's time to eat them.

At barbecues and picnics keep foods well covered to protect them from dust, insects and pets.

Covering food means putting the food in a container with a cover so it doesn't dry up or absorb other smells from your refrigerator.

any thing that is food should be covered...especially going into the fridge such as leftovers...technically they should be timed and dated so someone would know how old the product is...
