You said 'Bottom line is that the Bible is chocked full of attrocities and contradictions.'
Consider this alternative idea; Jesus authorized two or more ways to do things.
Scriptural Evidence to support assertion; (Jews Deut. 10-20; Christians Matt. 18:16, 2 Cor. 13:1). Example Patience(James 5:8) verses Diligence (2 Peter 3:14).

All you have done is backed up you own personal opinion whith that of someone elses own personal opinion.
Does that make your claim any more valid than the next persons? No, not at all.
I could reference ANYTHING to back up my claim, but will that automatically change your belief to that of mine? No at all
But to use someone elses example as a claim to back up your own belief, is only advertising the FACT that you yourself do not know enough to form an opinion of your own, thus nulifying any percieved competance to how you came up with your belief.
IT IS FACT that no two people could ever belief 100% the exact same thing, especially when it comes to religion and the Bible, as it is nothing more than personal interpritation.
Your quote:
"If spewing unsubstantiated claims was the way to get questions answered, I could convince you that I have a unicorn in my garage."
By taking someone elses claims and spewing them as your own is nothing more than Blind Faith, that which you accuse others of having, though you are even more guilty because you percieve it as wrong, yet you do it anyways.

you made a claim, a false one, but a claim none the less...you want a cookie? I quote the word of god and you quote a geocities website written by some heathen mad at the world and not seeing that god just wants to love him...not a real comparison...
I agree on one point if you say the bible says this or that just list where it says it, christians this will make you stronger in the word ...for the word is the truth and the breastplate of righteousness...
ephesians 6:10-14
10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

Your "question" started out very well, but ended badly.
It's never a bad idea to substantiate a claim with a reference, but then you made an unsubstantiated claim yourself: that the Christian Bible "is full of atrocities and contradictions." Then you guide us to two hate-filled, biased web sites to prove your point.
If you wish to make such incendiary claims, you must prove them. Otherwise, keep them to yourself.
Peace.

The problem here is that you are asking for answers that can't really be substantiated. I believe in god but I can't substantiate that he exists. As a christian I believe what is written in the Bible but many don't there for that technically isn't a substantial reference material. My point is that when arguing about beliefs you can't ask for proof because in the end they are just beliefs.

The problem is that you don't try to understand or think you just want things that make your faith stronger...
Romans 1:28 "And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;"
2Corinthians 4:4 "In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."
