A woman once asked me if I ever smelled my upper lip! Apparently she smelled hers all the time and was wondering if anyone else ever did. I told her I never smelled mine on purpose!

Some background information: I was on a mission trip with my church, and my group went to a nursing home to entertain the folks there. The above quote was said to me by an eightyish year old lady. I was around thirteen at the time, and thus did not have a daughter. Clearly, the lady thought that she was around thirty years old again, and that I was one of her best friends. She also kept saying to me that she "had to go" and that she would "keep Pa waiting" if she was late.
And people wonder why nursing homes give me the creeps.
