The trinity doctrine is the most unreasonable, most stupid, most illogical, most pernicious, most idiotic, most .......... religious doctrine ever invented by the fertile mind of man.

Jesus (peace be upon him) asked help from God because he was a normal person just like you and me. Trinity was developed later after Jesus by his followers like St.Paul.
Jesus in his lifetime never preached trinity. He mentioned about Father but what he meant was God, not the real father like the human beings have. God does not have a son neither He has a father.
Muslims also refer to God as Father, but only in a spiritual way, God is our Spiritual Father and that should not be confused.
Christians are misled into believing there is such thing as trinity.

The Trinitarian Formulation (belief) was not formalized until 381 AD, so, when Jesus was alive the 'trinty; wasn't even invented yet in the minds of those following Jesus. Trinity is not a word used in the Bible. By the way, the wikipedia has a good write up on this.

Good question. One that many don't understand. Take a bible study course if you believe or not. The Holy Trinity is both one and three and all three are one. Since God sent His son in a human form, he was human and divine. Think about it. Three persons in the Godhead, the father, the Son and the Holy Spirit (Or Holy Ghost,) and these three are one God, the same in substance, equal in power and glory. Tough one and requires a lot of reading and faith. Jesus told his disciples before he was crucified, that he would send the Holy Spirit to comfort them. That is the way it helps me understand.

When He entered into Humanity, He emptied Himself of many things dealing with His Deity, and became dependent upon the Holy Spirit, and doing the Will of the Father
5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God,
7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.
8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, Phil 2

That is a good question and is also hard to explain, but Christ mentioned many times in the Gospels that He and God are one. Christ is God in the flesh.
I'm not sure if you've heard of the Trinity, but it's God, Christ and the Holy Spirit. They are all the same but have different functions so to speak.
Christ is God in the flesh, Christ is God's physical form, the Holy Spirit is God's spiritual form.
**I just want to be clear, Christ, God and the Holy Spirit are ONE, the SAME.**
tincre>>> He did NOT give up any devine abilities, Christ healed many many people while on earth and performaned many miracles. He died on the Cross as an act of love for us and for us to be saved through HIM- not requiring us to sacrafice daily.

He didn't pray to Himself He prayed to the other Manifestation of Himself who is God. God was over Jesus in Authority even though Jesus was God. The Father was greater than the Son because God was in Authority over Jesus and Jesus's Omnipotence was being hindered from Manifesting because of His Physical body. This doesn't change the fact that Jesus was still God and Omnipotent.

Part one; think of the Trinity as a team of three. (God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Ghost.
So Jesus could have very easily have prayer to his Father (Eph. 6:1). Is a father greater than his son?

Yo!
He was a human, he had given up his divine attributes.
It has been discussed that he probably could have taken up his former self and not prayed for help and strength...But he was the obedient son of God and he did as he had been asked.
He is the Master worker , the bread of life , the light of the world, the way, the water of life, faithful and true witness, rock, high priest, the door, living water, rose of Sharron, alpha and omega, true vine, messiah, master, the one mediator between man and GOD, carpenter, the WORD, servant, father of our faith, the Bride groom, The King, etc....

First, no 'if' to it. He never asked God for 'help' although he did thank him for hearing him. He was in complete accord with the will of God, but during his time here he had taken on flesh, so realized he was below the father. If you do a real study of all of the prayer Jesus did, instead of assuming, you will find they are mostly prayers of thanks, and wishes for unity among those who would follow him.
