I haven't been in a relationship for some time, but I'm a good person. I'm fun to be around and I get along with everyone. And yet somehow, when I'm in a relationship all that changes and I suddenly become aware of everything that I'm doing and try not to do things that make me look stupid. I'm sure I already have a good idea of what turns guys off, but I just want some other opinions.

Familiarity breeds contempt.

If he is done with you and ready to move on, then everything will turn him off.

If he loves you, then nothing you do or say will be a problem.

Find someone who loves you. You seem nice and your picture is great. You seem clever and funny.

Wann go out?

As a guy, I can tell you what a girl does that turns me off:

1. Swear like a guy: This one is the biggest red flag.
2. Have an argumentative and challenging temperament. I don't mind a woman being smarter than me, what not, but if she starts getting overly competitive with me and it gets to the point where she begins to put me down or make me feel inferior, I usually, have to let her go. It just gets annoying. A little fun competition is one thing, but constant challenges from a female gets innundating and makes the relationship difficult.
3. Bad hygene. Most women do not have this problem. They are remarkably clean creatures.
4. Actually, a woman who is overly into guys sports. I've noticed a trend of women who like to talk Football, baseball, what not with guys. It's actually a bit disturbing to me for some reason.
5. Women who are too intense. Just be laid back and mellow. A little nervousness is reasonable when meeting someone.
6. Women who are obsessed with money or shopping. I don't mind if a woman likes to shop but when that becomes the focus of every discussion, she comes off as shallow and superficial.

Some guys get turned off when the girl they are with is not confident in herself. Guys don't want to be needed, they want to be wanted. If you are clumsy or say the wrong things, but you can laugh at yourself and be OK with you just the way you are, the guy will be OK with you too. If you are apologizing for everything you do, you will look like a buffoon to any guy who would otherwise love to date you.

Well obviously every man is different, some will be turned off by weird things like crooked teeth or ugly feet or girls who own cats. There's just no telling what men's little quirks might be.

However, if I had to choose one overall thing that turns men off it's a clingy, dependent, insecure woman. Be independent, do your own thing without whining and second guessing yourself. Get things done without a lot of fuss. Give your man freedom and space to be himself as well, don't cling, whine or obsess. Be confident with yourself, no matter what your size, age or looks,. If you have your own interests, your own friends, your own hobbies, your own job, your own life, men find that tremendously appealing. However, don't be a ballbuster or a cold ***** - be affectionate, funny, passionate, active, spend time with him as much as you/he want to doing whatever sounds good to both of you. Someone else on this thread said it too: men want to be wanted, not needed and I think that's very true.

Hey,

You seem to be a pretty sociable and likeable girl who's just nervous around guys you're interested in. That's pretty normal.

What probably turns them off is that you're not yourself, or natural when you're with them. What women don't often realise is that guys are as nervous or worried about how they appear to girls as girls are. So he's probably thinking you're either putting on an act or acting funny because you don't really like him, or that you're a snob or that you're a little crazy.

It's ok. Just be natural the next time. Don't be too eager to please and don't ramble in conversations. Though some guys find confused, scatter brained women very attractive. : )

As far to my knowledge,a guy's turn off on instant is when the gf verbally expresses her displeasure to the guy for his constant talks or being in touch with his ex gf s.
If the guy makes mistakes by talking to his gf ,he is perfectly fine and if the gal flirts as a joke or laughs off amongst guys its a turn off for him ,I think this the best reason as to what i believe and have seen.Majority relationship breakups for the mention reason for what i have stated.
