I'm having surgery, and I have my period. I know that you have to take everything out. no panties... how does the nurses manage this?

Depends on what surgery you are having, if it is not female surgery they will supply you with hospital issued net panties and a sanitary napkin. If you are having any type of female surgery they will probably let you wear one till you are anesthetized and then take it all off to do the surgery.

Y'know, I don't think a little blood in the OR is really something they freak out about. If they do, you need to find a different surgery team really quick!

And you won't be embarassed, 'cause you'll either be asleep or have other things on your mind. Really.

But it is a good question. All the surgery I've had, and I just don't know the answer. I guess the timing was always right.

They put waterproof padding under you. It's not like you are going to gush blood or anything.

i had that happen to me...i was able to where like bikini underwear and had to use a pad.......i didnt mind it as long as i was about have something there and blood didnt get every wear
