You're right, they do quiet down before birth. As to when? When the baby is ready. No guess on that. Luck with your birthing!

I certainly hope that you don't have that baby yet....they are not ready to be in this world at 32 weeks!! The only reason they slow down is b/c they don't have much space, yes, but that is really only the last few weeks...not months. That baby still has plenty of room and tons of developing to do.

Also, you haven't "dropped" yet. Your belly has just grown differently to accomadate the baby. "Dropping" is when the baby's head moves down into the pelvis to be ready for delivery...it occurs between the last few weeks and when you are actually in labor.

Try not to be so anxious sweetie...it all happens fast enough as it is!

Hi, since the baby is more grown now it could be that he has less space to move around, but if you stop feeling it at all , you should ask your doctor inmediately. You still have at least 6 to 8 weeks to your 38-40 week when then it will be an any time situatiuon.
Be patient and observe movement patterns of the baby to realize when ther is a change and always ask your doctor. :)

My first baby was the same. She keeps on moving until the last month of my pregnancy. I asked my doctor and she said it is okey as long as they are moving. Make sure on the last month of your pregnancy you have to visit your doctor every week so they can monitor the movement and the position of the baby. GOOD LUCK to you and I hope you'll have a very healthy baby.

From my own experiences, my babies were active up almost until labor started...it's true that they don't have a lot of room to move around, but they are still moving and such..once your baby drops far down enough in the birth canal, there won't be much as the baby moving anywhere else but out!..congradulation..best wishes..and may God and his angels bless you and be with you during this time in your life...

All babies are different, and when a baby drops, they actually get a little more room to wiggle around in. As long as baby's movements don't suddenly stop or do a huge drop on you, you have nothing to worry about. Chances are you'll go on for at least another 4 weeks.

this is tricky
my baby quit moving about 8 months pregnant as much
I didnt feel him for a couple of days, called my OB/GYN, they panicked and had me come in immediately, could not find his heart beat for the first few seconds
I freaked out, really freaked out, but, they found him and of course he was bouncing around everywhere then
I would call your OB/GYN or mydwife just to be sure

My babies were all very active right up until they were delivered. Every pregnancy is different though. If you are concerned, talk wtih your OB/GYN about it.
