Okay Scooby, that is a great point. You used your resources to get something that will better your life and your contribution to society.
I know I should have been more specific, but I was leaning more towards physical, monteary items like the ones listed above.

Hello Dummy Me!
I agree. You would never walk into a music store and ask 'where's your free music section'. It's just so easy to do on the internet and there are a lot of pirate sites out there (or so I've heard).
I think it's mostly kids asking for free stuff. And I agree, things I've bought with my money I value a lot more than something that was given to me.

I agree with shadow. If its out there for free, why pay. That is just retarded.
So, I got two thumbs down. Ok, here is a little story from my past. My brother joined the army straight out of high school and served 4 years to get money for school. I on the other hand looked around and found programs to get college paid for. Because I was able to ask I found money for college. I did not have to "earn" it first. Does this mean I did not work? NO, I did the research necessary to find the people willing to give me the money. My brother chose not to, so he had no choice but to join the Army. He even remarked to me once that "I wish someone would have shown me where to get money" No one did, I did on my own. So, the people that ask for stuff for free are not "lazy", they are just looking at all their options. Do you automatially pay more for the same item or do you get it for the best price? Well, free is the best price.

For the last 20 years or so, children are raised in a no-loser world. Everyone gets participation medals, and most games don't even keep score to determine a winner. They end up as teenagers and adults with a frightening sense of entitlement. They don't have to expend effort to come out with a useful product. Scary, isn't it!!!

Times are tight these days and if its free then its great.
Consider the Sunshine is free, the things we take for granted is usually free.
Earning what u get can get dull and really u feel u worked harder than what the heck u earned these days.

I agree 100% For all those wanting free electronics I say "spoiled brat syndrome" the ones that are use to getting what they want for nothing. If I want something expensive I get a part-time job along with my full time and save for it

As long as they're looking for something that's already free rather than looking for something that's not free and wanting to take it.

Because people are lazy and they are parasites. There will always be people that make their living off the hard work of others.
