Breathe deep the gathering gloom
Watch lights fade from every room
Bedsetter people look back and lament
Another day's useless energy's spent
Impassioned lovers wrestle as one
Lonely man cries for love and has none
New mother picks up and suckles her son
Senior citizens wish they were young
Cold-hearted orb that rules the night
Removes the colors from our sight
Red is grey and yellow white
But we decide which is right
And which is an illusion

The best answer to your question is to restate it - You ARE exactly what you've chosen to be.

Your thoughts form your beliefs, your beliefs form your choices, your choices create your experience.

So it's not a question of what you WANT to be, it's a question of what have you CHOSEN to be?

If you don't like where your choices have led you, make new choices.

YES, definitely.

This is why (come closely; this is a little-known secret that the most successful people in the world do);

I WROTE DOWN! EXACTLY!! WHAT I WANT TO DO WITH MY LIFE, FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE. IN DETAIL.

This is what successful people do; they write down WHAT THEY WANT! If not, other people will decide for you. And they constantly update and change it, as they learn new things, new ideas come along. NEXT, they do not chase after what they want; they WAIT FOR IT TO COME TO THEM.

When I was age 13 I knew EXACTLY what type of job I wanted.
An office, with a window view, and a secretary and an assistant.
And a company car.

Well I GOT EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED. It came TO ME. I did not chase after it. I should have been more specific and said something like "be a billionaire by age 50" or something like that. But at the time, all I wanted was the perfect office. I never asked for anything else. So I got what I wanted. Now I have a new list, with a LOT more things.

Do it. And you will have everything you want. Right up to the end.
