I have answered dandruff problem questions several times and my answer has been chosen as "best" several times.

I have fought dandruff and flaking too and it seemed like none of the shampoos worked. I was told that a good condtioning oil would help and found a product called Wildroot Creme oil in the men's hair section at Walgreens. About once a week I wet my hair down, then apply the Wildroot liberally and massage it into my scalp and hair. I comb my hair back and leave it in all day. Then wash it out with normal shampoo. My scalp no longer flakes, and my hair is in great condition. Wildroot contains mineral oil and lanolin which I beleive are what makes this so effective.

It's hard to imagine that people still suffer from dandruff problems with all the products available on the market.

Nizoral, head & shoulder, selsun blue or gold, T- Gel, You have to used it long enough to see results. Are you sure it's just dandruffs? It could also Psoriasis.

I've had wonderful success with Neutrogena's T-Gel. The only problem I have with it is the smell. The active ingredient is coal tar, and believe me, you can smell it. After using T-Gel, I wash my hair with my regular shampoo to get rid of some of the smell. And I only use it every other wash when I do have dandruff. But it gets rid of it quickly.

My husband has a flaky scalp and he uses a tea tree oil shampoo that he got from the salon and that really helps him.
