Obviously, the snake used a set of those mail-order language tapes. However, as he did not share his set with any of the other creatures of the garden, they remained inarticulate and insentient.

The story of Adam and Eve and the Garden of Eden is a parable, NOT a literal truth. It can be seen as illustrating how beings who existed in paradise were content and showed little ambition to work and grow. Therefore Lucifer (which is literally latin for Light Bringer) introduced the polarity of good and evil, which pushed man from the complacent existence of paradise into the world of polarity where rapid spiritual growth could occur. Spiritual growth is movement towards the love and light of God, so by introducing man to the knowledge of good and evil Lucifer literally drove us toward the light.

No satan used ventrilliquism to make it appear that the snake was talking it was actually satan himself and no others spoke and reasoned as that is not possible some animals can be trained to do certain tasks but higher reasoning is not possible they are creatures of instinct read the first few chapters of Genesis for further details hope this helps gorbalizer

Ok, here goes. I don't really know all the stories of the Bible but the serpent was actually the Devil in the form of a serpent. And the Devil was one of God's Angels that had done wrong, and the Lord banished him to Hell. So, I guess the Devil learned to speak from God.

Maybe he used sign language. According to the creation account he lost his limbs after god chastised the serpent and told him he would crawl on the ground for his insolence.

snake was probably just a metaphor for satan. (sneaky and decieving), after all you cant even prove that there was a snake there. i dont think god put adam and eve here with pen and paper in their hands to document this stuff.

Its a fable. Animals don't really talk. The bible is not meant to be translated literally. It is just a book of fables like anyone other book of fables and fables often use animals to tell stories.
