Your dad must be A or AB.
Your genotype is AB. B came from mom (she had no A to give) so your dad had to give you an A. His genotype could be AA, AO, or AB (blood types A or AB)
Both parents gave you a negative rh factor. Your mom is clearly +-, and your dad could be either +- or --.
So dad could be A+, A-, AB+ or AB-.
Hope that helps.

It probably cannot be said definitively. You have a pair of ABO genes and a pair of +/- genes. O and - are basically 'not there'. So let's look at what you have.
You are AB-. Your mom has no As... so you must have gotten that from your dad. That leaves your B coming from your mom. On the other hand, you must be -/-, so you've gotten a - from each parent. Your mom must be +/- with only the + 'showing', and your dad must have at least one -.
So we know your dad has an A and a -, but there's another gene for each of those that you DIDN'T get. The ABO one leads to either A/A (type A), A/B (type AB), or A/O (also type A). The +/- leads to -/+ (type +) or -/- (type -).
You dad, therefore, is A or AB, but can be either + or -. There's no way to tell without other information (like siblings!). But we can GUESS:
If I were to guess based on statistics, there's roughly an 90% chance of having A or O and about 85% of being positive, leading to a VERY rough guess of about a 76% chance that your father is A+.

Your Dad's blood type could be AB or A.
For your blood to be "negative", I think (not sure) you would have two negative genes, one from both Mom and Dad. So your Dad has at least one negative gene, but his other gene could be negative or positive.
As for the letters, your Mom gave you the "B" in your blood, therefore your Dad gave you the "A". So he would need to be type A, but could also be AB.

He was either type A or type AB. He was either Rh positive or negative. If he was Rh positive, he had one silent (not expressed, or recessive) gene for Rh negative status.
Simple mendelian genetics applies in both the Rh and the ABO blood systems, which are actually separate, even on different chromosomes.

There are quite few combinations. Your dad is A or AB, positive or negative,
so possibilities are: A+, A-, AB+, AB-

You receive one gene from your mother and one gene from your father; these two combine to establish your Blood type. So I think your dad is type A
