Lets start with Lilith_ she never existed.

If Eve was made for Adam, why would a formal marriage be necessary. They were the only 2 humans according to the story, so how could it be EXTRA MARITAL...????

I believe in God and Jesus. But I also think that the stories in the scriptures are taken to literally by some people...and if you consider that the traditional story of creation was likely to have been passed down orally through the Hebrew tribes before the written word was cast, It can be reasoned that some of this story though divinely inspired...was dumbed down for the primitive humans to understand.
You wouldn't have God explaining the creation in terms like the big bang or evolutional processes for those people. Basic biology would have been difficult for the tribes to understand, and was put in a status of a divine mystery until only a few centuries ago...

If you need to attack religion because it has flaws...attack all of humankind because we all have flaws...
Religion gives comfort to some of us, where logic leaves us empty and in the cold.
If you have never had an unexplainable joy in your life, or a peace even in the worst of times, you are empty and need to explore the possiblity that other people may realy have a relationship with God and Jesus. Even if you can't believe, you should look at it in a more exploratory fashion before you attack the religion that so many people embrace.

It's funny, because in Christian weddings, they always seem to mention Adam and Eve! Anyway, sometimes Christians explain this and other sort of things away by saying that they were omitted because the details weren't that important or didn't have to do with salvation: Augustine did this quite a bit! Otherwise, people will assume that marriage is implied.

Just go a bit further into Chapter two, where it actually describes how eve was created from adams flesh.

Verse 24
Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
verse 25
And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

So, you can see that the word wife is used right here, and not the word wives. Wife means married.

Gen 2:23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
Gen 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
Gen 2:25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
Is this not marriage?

Because he made them TWO so there were no body they can have extra-marital sex with. If they would have had enough sense to follow instructions we wouldn't be in this mess

.didn't mention any other women in the version of Genesis we use either. so there can't have been any, the bible says so. Cain and Abel must have been hermaphrodites and incestuous

Absolutely! What is all this noise about marriage and extramarital sex anyway? We are sexual creatures, so go out and create like a pro...procreate, get it? ;)
