We will be in San Juan and Rincon, primarily, but will have a rental car and would enjoy seeing other areas as well. We love hiking, shopping, seeing historical sites, and pretty much anything that is unique to the area. Thanks!

There are plenty of things to do and see. The top attractions are: Old San Juan - here you will find forts, the first catholic church ever built in America (San Jose), The Cathedral, City Wall, shopping, great restaurants, to visit the Bacardi Rum Factory just take the ferry from pier 1 for $0.50, there is 1 casino, and plenty of museums. It can't get more historical than Old San Juan more than 500 years old. Visit this link for a printable walking tour and more info. http://www.gotopuertorico.com/PDFs/guide_north_eng.pdf

El Yunque Rainforest - hiking trails, waterfalls, a unique experience, DO NOT MISS IT!

Culebra - sister island located on the east side, here you will find Flamenco beach 2nd best beach in US and 4th in the world, take ferry from Fajardo $2.50

Rio Camuy Cave Park and Arecibo Observatory Center - you can do both the same day, both located on the north side of the island, wake up early for the caves and you need much time for the observatory (where Contact movie was filmed), the cave park has the biggest underground river in the world very amazing.

Rincon - is a surfer's town, less hectic than the capital city, great seafood restaurants and close to Crash Boat beach (in Aguadilla/northwest) and Boqueron (Cabo Rojo/southwest), also to La Parguera where there is a bioluminicent bay (one of Puerto Rico's wonders)

Shopping - visit Plaza Las Americas Mall, the biggest mall in the Caribbean, stores for every budget, enjoy no tax until November this year.

PLEASE VISIT WWW.GOTOPUERTORICO.COM it has plenty of valuable information for your trip. But most of all ENJOY your trip!

ok if u like shopping there are 2 great places to do that in the island in the old san juan u will find lots of boutiques and stores but u will also find alot of gift shops for tourist . The other place is Plaza Las Americas shopping mall in San juan wich is the biggest shopping mall in the caribbean. A very chik place to go at night to go dining or shopping (at day) is El Condado wich is an area in San juan near old San JUan (san juan and old san juan are not the same thing so don't get confused san juan is the entire city and old san juan is the colonial part of the city wich is great place to go parting or just fine dinnig. in Culebra pr you will find Playa Flamingo wich is considered the 3rd most beautifull beach in the world u can get there from san juan or from fajardo wich is another city of PR. And if u love hiking the best place to do so is in El Yunque Rain Forest (In rio grande,pr) Take your bathing suit there you may need it to get a dip in the water!!!. And finaly rincon is the best spot in the island to go surfing !!! enjoy ur vacation and if u need more info about pr u can contact me and i will be glad to help!!!

San Juan has some 500 year old architecture and spanish cathedrals. Expectacular fortress called El Morro and the best restaurants in the entire caribbean region ( award wining chefs too!).
The rainforest is Not located in San Juan or metropolitan area, It is 1 hour from the metro area, it is located in the municipality of Luquillo and Rio Grande.

Rincon is a hot spot for bohemian travelers and water sport fans in the west coast of PR. Amazing beaches.

San Juan is gorgeous for touring/site seeing, especially historical sites. There are Casinos, strip clubs, rock climbing, snorkeling, beaches & great restraunts... just to name a few.
You can canoe or hike the El Yunque Rainforest too!

I love P.R.! It's called the Island of Enchantment for a reason!

I named the islanders, "The Beautiful People" when we visited.
(((my hubby is Puerto Rican too)))

HAVE FUN!

I traveled there last year. We went on a cruise that left from there. The best part of San Juan was the El Yunique Rainforest. It was so pretty.

So im from here (PR) and there's tons of things to do. If you have a rental then you should definately go to Boqueron... Its in Cabo Rojo, the most beautiful beaches are there plus its minutes away from La Parguera which is a luminescent bay...

Puerto Rico is a gorgeous island. What you might want to do is get with either a native to the island or get on the internet. It will give you plenty of ideas.
