I have been divorced for almost 2 years and it was a very well lets just say bad marriage ..I will leave it at that...and since I have been divorced I have moved to another town to get totally away from him. I started a new job with the help of a friend , but i havent dated much . I cant just seem to get the right connection with anyone. Maybe I dont give it a chance. But I hear about all these dating services , e harmony and all that but it all cost it seems in some way or another, I dont feel like paying for that kind of stuff when I can think of other things to spend my hard earned money on! But does anyone have any suggestions on helping me at all. I dont know many people where I llive now .

Meet a good man at the grocery store. Look what he is putting
in the basket. You know when they are single.
Ask him to reach for something on a shelf. Even if you don't need it. He doesn't know the difference.
Try that.
Ask your local grocer to a singles night once a week. For singles
in the area to meet good people instead of the bars.

It's hard to find someone. I've heard a lot of people find people through friends of their own. Maybe you should go out with a couple of co-workers and maybe they will have someone in mind. It's not easy trying to find someone at an older age. There is a lot of jerks out there. Just don't waste you time on them and move on. I would start going to social events. (Fairs, bingos, or Bizarres) Also checking out any contruction workers and people like that will help. Hey maybe someone will catch your eye or you catch theirs you never know. Good luck.

You can meet a nice guy getting yourslef stranded on the freeway between two (2) gas stations and waiting for a little while. Note: Have an extra gas can hidden just in case.

The grocery store is a great place to meet someone, or the laundry mat.....keep an eye out at any events you attend, as already have an interest in common

I have done the same thing. I moved 3000 miles away. Don't know really anyone and the on-line thing isn't for me. But I know that there is someone out there for me and one day when I least expect it it will happen. Just relax and it will happen for you too.

try match/dreammate/yahoo. you can post a profile and make it clear you are not a member. They can find a way to contact you particularly if you are innovative in your profile. just be careful and meet publicly for a 'coffee' the first time to weed out the wacko's.
