Ok...this is a hard one. My first instinct was to say "pffffffft.... whatever". *rolls eyes*

But...after some pondering (and some delicious Pusser's Rum) I decided maybe my parents WERE right all along. However, not in the way they should have been right. My parents divorced when I was 2 so therefore I discovered they were "right" in different ways. When did I stumble upon this discovery? Just a minute ago...after reading your question. *big silly grin*

After years of observation....this is how I learned each of them was right. My mom was right in instilling "proper" morals in me. She shoveled so much religion down my throat when I was younger and in hind sight...that helped keep me out of trouble. Since I was a rambunctious, curious lil' one...I could've definitely slipped into trouble a lot earlier than I had if it wasn't for her paranoia that God would smite me at any moment. As for my father? I never *really* knew the man. But, from the tidbits I do know...and after meeting him several times...I can honestly say he was right to fuel his wanderlust. He was right to follow his own path....and take his own course. Even at the risk of leaving behind many families he created! HA! Why is this right? Well, although not necessarily right for me or for others....it was right for him. Perhaps selfish...perhaps a tactic used to run from deep seeded "issues" ...but nonetheless right. If I were to coin it as wrong...well, that would be wrong. We each have our own purpose in life...even if we spend our time here on earth trying to figure out what that purpose is. I commend my father on his persistance in trying to find it......his unwillingness to settle for something that didn't feel "right".

*giggles* Man...can you say "long winded"?

Hmmmm.....final answer: "pfffffft...whatever". *enter cute lil' Loser emoticon here*

Never... My parents were Insane retards and I WAS RIGHT all along! Basically, I raised myself. They were just a couple of wallets.

I do however love my mom because she was the way she was because of my dad. I have more respect for a cash machine as far as he goes. Honestly, he has had a good enough run, and I just can't wait for him to drop dead! He has spent enough time hurting and destroying people... My nickname for him is

"The demolition man." Funny how someone like that spends a lifetime in steel construction.

When youv'e experienced it, then you'll hate them for being right and hate urself for not seeing it. It happens all the time. Parents are always one foot ahead of you. Trust me they are smart even u think they dont know a thing trust me they do and then long past they will ask u about it.

When I turned 20 years old...

I kind of felt bad because I understood that they were not doing these things to piss me off but they had excellent reasons.

Also, especially since I became a mother I understand more.

That is a great freaking question... because it is so right!!!!! What I think is so funny and tragic at the same time is how many young people will read this and think that it doesn't apply to them!
