Because we are winning and we will continue to. For those of you who don't believe it, ask a soldier or Marine. Find out what the OTHER side of the story is that the news doesn't show you. It's a pity all you can do is sit behind a puter and criticize and cause havoc. The only way we'll "lose" is if we cut and run like so many of you ignorant people expect us to do. We have a job to do and we're doing it....now just let us finish it. Get out from behind you puter and do something productive.

God bless America!! Support our troops!!

EDIT: GirlnNB - There IS a connection to Bin Laden in Iraq. Maybe you should watch the news more often and keep up on current events. PROOF: Al Qaeda leader captured
Sunday, the U.S. military and Iraq's national security adviser announced that al Qaeda's No. 2 operative in Iraq, Hamed Jumaa Al Saeedi, had been arrested.

National Security Adviser Mowaffak al-Rubaie said al Saeedi was "directly responsible" for Haitham al-Badri, the man believed to have been the mastermind of the Askariya Mosque bombing in Samarra in February.

Sunni-Shiite sectarian strife escalated after that attack.

Al Saeedi, also known as Abu Rana and Abu Humam, is said to be second in command in the terrorist group al Qaeda in Iraq, behind Abu Ayyub al-Masri.

Al-Masri succeeded Abu Musab al-Zarqawi after he was killed during a U.S. airstrike in June.

"This is a very important development," Iraq's Planning Minister Barham Salih told CNN. ....

THE WAR ENDED IN 2003!

Whew...

When Saddam's regime fell, the war ended. We are now in "sustained operations to assis the Iraqi government to rebuild it's infrastructure." as it is said when you recieve the mission brief in Iraq.

Wait...you have never been there...right.

The Iraqi Government has built it's infrastructure, set it's Government, taken control of it's Military and is slowly fanning out and securing outlying towns and cities.

I am a supporter because I have been there. You don't see crap about what hppens in Iraq if it doesn't come from the end of a gun. The media does not want you to see anything good out of Iraq.

Why not look up the correct data instead of spouting drivel? Damn, you idiots that ask questions like this are annoying.

Why judge on what you hear see and read in the news? Those are only in certain places. Have you ever thought of the WHOLE country? This is one reason why I hate the press.

So anyway, do you suggest that we pullout? Because if we do, If we pullout because of Cindy Sheehan, the pessimists, the press and whatever reason else there is, then we just put all those dead soldiers' lives and sacrificed limbs in vain. It would basically say that anybody can win over us if they keep on killing people - military and civilian. It would make us a more inviting target not only for terrorists but for rouge countries as well.

Inane question but I will put my $1.02 in - inflation- in anyway. If I support my country and I do, I support the war. We, as a country, did not lose Vietnam. Our politicians did that for us. We didn't get in this war to lose nor will we! I believe we will win because we have to or you wont have the choice of religion in the future if we don't.

I feel every death of our women/men in uniform fighting for you and me. Yes, they even fight for dummies who believe this country is going to hell in a hand basket. My state alone has lost 24 men and women to these wars since 9-11.

God Bless Our Troops!

Why does Osama think he might lose the Iraq war? He keeps calling for more Muslims to attack us there. Must be worried about something.

Man what a stupid question. Your slipping. Why would someone who supports something think that something might win.. Like if I supported a football team I might think it might win too??? Try some logic next time.

It's an impossible war to win. The enemy is everywhere, and only strengthened by our military success. Those who despise the west bring up their children to despise the west, and the way they fight is to hide, blend into the civilian population and strike at innocents. It was a mistake to get bogged down in Iraq, and I can't honestly see any way out. I hope our military commanders have more ideas than I do. You can't take anything away from the men and women doing a fantastic job in an incredibly dangerous and impossible situation though.

I do not, and never did believe in the war in Iraq. How did we go from looking for Osama from a whole other country into looking and capturing Saddam? Can Osama not be found so therefore to look better to the rest of the world, another territory got invaded to capture someone else and kill his murdering / sadistic sons to prove that yes! the war should be praised and not condemned?

Sad really that now everyone looks like a terrorist. Not just the actual terrorists only.

Stubborn stupidity and the inability to see the facts on the ground. These people think that by throwing men and material at the problem will solve the problem. It was wrong in Nam and it's wrong now . Insurgencies will eat as much men and equipment as you can throw at it because the local population supports the insurgents and they have a never ending list of targets to hit humvees, check points, Iraqi collaborators, convoys, individual soldiers on patrol. Our guys on the other hand only have a target when the insurgent shows themselves. The insurgents don't have any material wealth to attack unless it's there weapons you want to count but there cheap and plentiful unlike humvees.
