I know they come from eggs and they live in hair,,,but what im askin is can you get them from outside grass? are they like fleas? im just wanting to know where are they before they spread in peoples hair?

All I know is that head lice cannot fly or jump, you can usually only catch them after having head to head contact with another person who is infected. Contrary to popular belief, head lice don't care if hair is clean or dirty - they aren't fussy.

Head lice only live on human hair. You get them from being near someone else who has them.

head lice develop due to dirt in hair so you can stop it by making your hair clean with proper care and if you want to stop it then medicare shampoo is beneficial.
