I solved that problem with my husband. Have your girlfriends email you about female problems. Have them send you dozens a day. He will recant! I set up fake email addresses in yahoo and hotmail and sent myself emails complaining about not getting enough sex, my husband being bossy and so many about PMS that my husband that I turned in to Dear Abby!

Couples need to share the big things, like a car or the TV, but they also need to have their own space. If your partner gets bent out of shape because you wanted your own space, that sounds like some insecurity on his behalf. Having your own email address and cell phone and friends is not something to get upset over!

Dude needs to take a chill pill.

Couples should share, but to some extend. As for the email address, it's good to have one that you two can share it's easier for thw both of you to communicate with your family and friends, but you ALSO can have your own and so can he.

I can understand why he wants to share, my husband feels the same way. But, we all need a bit of privacy, even from our spouses. I have a journal and my husband respects that they are my own thoughts and I don't want anyone to read them, not even him. Explain to him that you like the idea, but both of you need a bit of your own space as well. We all do, it's human nature.

Your husband is paranoid... he doesn't think you should "share" he wants to make sure he can keep close tabs on you... and having a private email address that he can't access means he wouldn't know who you were talking to behind his back.

Controlling controlling controlling.

my hubby and i have seperate email address' but we don't hide them from one another as long as you are open about it its no big deal just tell your husband you want your own just because it would be easier to read and he can alway take a gander at it you have nothing to hide then he should be fine with it.

Every human needs their own space, there is nothing wrong with having your own email, but if you have nothing to hide give your husband your password,

You don't have anything to hide but everyone has a right to a little bit of privacy. Sharing is good to a point. Like you should never go into his wallet and he should never go into your purse.

Some things you SHOULD share. Some things you should keep for yourself. Like, yeah...you can share a car. But, no you can't share my Reese's Peanut Butter Cups!!! hahaha.

You should ESPECIALLY not share an e-mail. That is lame.
