given? Like for instance---People dishing it out but not being able to take it? Giving positive and constructive critisium, but then they get pissed and report you? Don't you just hate a tattle tale? Where I live, we do not rat people out! We handle it! Would anyone like to share their feelings on this matter?

Make note that you're on Y!A. This place is a melting pot and has it all - including the rats you mention.
The whole site is out of control (in case you haven't noticed)

People react strongly to criticism when their own self-esteem is low and they already criticize themselves on this topic. I have been defensive a lot in my life, and I know I have over-reacted many times. People with low self-esteem also have a tendency to be critical of others in order to try to make themselves feel better. The best thing you can do for a person like this is to try to find ways to be complimentary and kind, rather than criticize them in return. I don't thnk there is such a thing as "constructive criticism" unless a person asks for your honest opinion. Only then can they be open to receive what you say, and even then they may become defensive.

That person should have mention it to you first and see if you were willing to help him with his problem - he/she did not so that person is the one with the problem!@
