well my honey was married before- his wedding was in august so i did not want august even though it was the month we met in (day after his wedding date 3 years later when he was going through divorce). I dont like the winter all that much but i know it is cheaper. He told me to plan the wedding so that meant i chose the date. I chose March 24th. Nothing special happening on that day so it sounds perfect.
Would have been nice though if he would have helped me to choose it!

The date that I picked has some significance to me and my beliefs. I am Pagan and will be having a handfasting ceremony (similar to a traditional wedding) with a more tradidtional reception. My ceremony will be outdoors and in the evening so I wanted to have a full moon so we could dance under the stars and a big bright full moon. I also didn't want my guests collasping from heat stroke in the Texas heat so I chose Spring (end of April) It will also be the weekend prior to Beltaine (a spring lovers/fertility ritual and one of the 4 major Sabbats). The date is April 28, 07 which makes it easy to remember...4 (April=4th month) multiplied by 7 (the year 2007) equals the day (the 28th) that just happened to work itself out. I still would've had it that weekend if the date were different.

There was A LOT that went into choosing our date. We are gettng married March 3rd. I live in Texas. March in Texas is and always has been my favorite month. Flowers are in bloom everywhere, its 75 degrees and sunny, it gorgeous. I always wanted a spring wedding. Then I had to take into acocunt my fiancees career. We knew of big events far in advance that would make it difficult for him so we avoided those days. He is a musician with the Air Force and has a big concert in the middle of April. He is also a huge sprits fan and a few of our friends are coaches so the end of March is March Madness and it wouldnt be good for them. Several of our friends are teachers and its UIL time the second week of March and then the following week is Spring Break.
I also knew what venues I wanted and called for availability. I wanted March 24th but the reception hall was booked. They had an earlier date or later date. I chose earlier. There are mnay things to consider when choosing a date. Weather was a big factor for me because I dont want to be all sweaty or too cold. We had to plan around careers of our close family and friends but I still got what I want. Call your venues that you are interested in and see if some of your dates are available. Give yourself plenty of time though. I gave myself 10 months and its enough time to get everything done and not freak out. Its not as stressful that way. Congrats and good luck!
If the wedding conflicts with your BC cycle just skip your period by taking the pills continuously instead of going on the sugar pills. Its simple all you have to do is start a new pack as soon as you finish the old one.

Whatever day/date you choose will be special because it will be YOUR Wedding Day. How much more special can you get than that???
Saturday is the busiest wedding day, then Friday & Sunday. Thursday nights are on an increase for some reason.
June, August & October are the busy months with September about to join the ranks. But I think that has alot to do with where the wedding is taking place. During these days, months & holidays, your wedding will cost more. Even some celebrants/officiants increase their fee, as well.

I love the days that repeat (07/07/07) so when my fiance proposed this summer, it was a pretty easy choice. I did want to avoid the popular months; May, June, October, December... just because I knew that it would be harder to find services and a place for the reception on that day. Aparently though, my idea is the same as many others to be married... so it's still kind of difficult getting everything planned. My best advice is that no matter the date you pick, start planning early.

I wanted to get married on the date that we had our first date but went against that because there was too much happening in October. We decided on May 6 because it was during nice weather, was not a busy month and was a perfect time to have a beautiful wedding.
Good luck!

My wedding ceremony date substitute into March 6. I picked that by using fact my husband had a company on the time and the busy season would be commencing in spring. and that i did no longer choose to attend til November. So artwork schedules may be a topic. i did no longer choose the thirteenth and it extremely is a darn sturdy ingredient, by using fact there substitute right into a huge snow fall that day. some persons will say "no you won't have the ability to get married that day, it extremely is my anniversary and you could not have my day" tell them to stick it!

My wedding date was chosen for conveniences ... My husband graduated school on Fri. Sept 27 1996, and started a new job out of state on Thur. Oct. 3, 1996.... We were married on Sat. Sept 28, 1996 because family could travel in for graduation and the wedding over the same weekend...
Although we nearly got married on Sept 7, 1996... We were so excited and wanted to get married and almost eloped to Vegas.. There was however a huge storm and we couldn't drive in it... That same storm did extensive damage to my sisters house the venue for the wedding but thanks to my brother-in-law and some creative temperary construction (don't look on the outside it wasn't actually roofed and finished just looked good from the inside where we were) the wedding came of beautifully.... and the lack of fencing and a kind neighbour with a beautiful rose garden who said to use thier garden as needed made for memorable pictures...
It turns out really well as both our parent and we now share Sept. as our anniversary month..... Shared dated, moths are common in our family however... When our daughter was born on the 25th anniversary of my in-laws first date my mother-in-law decided it was very appropriate for her first biological grandchild to be born on that date...

I wanted a Christmas wedding but not too close to Christmas so I chose December 7. It was the first Saturday in December.

We chose the date of our anniversary when we first started dating, October 22, it just happened to fall on a Saturday that year. It was sweet but we ended up breaking up.
