Try eating a small amount of whatever sounds good every 2 hours beginning when you get up until bed time. Keeping something in your stomach instead of eating 3 large meals during the day helps keep the nausea down. Saltines in the morning before getting out of bed never did work for me, but it does for some people. I have had 4 babies and experienced morning sickness with 3 of them. My second child I was sick throughout the whole pregnancy and the other 2 I felt pretty good when I got into my second trimester. But, each woman and each pregnancy is different. Be sure to keep hydrated with water or some other non-caffeine beverage. I know several women who ended up in the hospital with severe morning sickness induced dehydration. But, that is not common for most women.

I used to drink this stuff called "Smart Water". You get it at a health food store and it is flavored. I would get the lemon & cucumber flavor. When ever I felt sick I would drink some and it would help settle my tummy. Got me through 90% of my morning sickness... just make sure it is ice cold before you drink it cause it isnt very good tasting warm... if you cant find it try just a glass of ice water with lemon squeezed in it with a slice or 2 of cucumber... that helped me when the store was out of the smart water...

Eating helps...
Before you get up, have a handful of almonds (they aren't as messy as saltines).
Before you get in the shower, pop a jolly rancher (or a sugar free candy).
Try to eat every two hours to get rid of the ickiness.
If it is REALLY bad and you have tried everything suggested here, talk to your doc. Vitamin B-6 and Unisom were recommended by a friend of mine and I talked to my doc and used it too and it made a difference.
Finally, take a multi vitamin and some folic acid before bed instead of a prenatal vitamin (my doc's orders)

Before getting out of bed, eat a couple of saltine crackers, lay there for a few minutes, then get up. It helps some people.

Try anything with ginger. It is believed to control nausea. I liked ginger ale after lunch to calm my stomach.
My mom also bought me ginger snap cookies, and ginger root.
Try it, it really does work.
If you try ginger ale just drink it slowly.
