An alcoholic who hasn't had so much as a sip of alcohol in years is still an alcoholic. Alcoholism is a sickness, those who are not drinking have been healed, but not cured. I would say that God would open his arms to these people who have already suffered more than most people can ever know.

Can a non vegetarian or a farmer who uses insecticide on his crop got to heaven?
Jesus said to those who wanted to stone an adultress "let him who has never sinned in his life cast the first stone." And everyone moved away, because there was no such person.
Your actions are just one part of who you are. The rest is intention.

Depends... have they tried to cease drinking? Are they immensely sorry every time they 'fall off the wagon', and try to stop again? Do they hate every single drink that passes between their lips?
What I'm getting at, is, have they repented?
More importantly, do they have Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and have been born again?
If yes to both, then yes. If no to one, the other, or both, then no.

Yes, if they get sober, they go to the front of the line. That is because they have become the most unselfish people in the world.

Just because someone is an alcoholic, does not mean that they are a bad person.

Nobody can go to heaven.
It doesn't exist.
However- if you look at Jesus' requirements- You need to give away ALL of your possetions to get in. Luke 18:18-22
ALL of them. Not just 10% to charity. ALL of them.

Well, they did drink wine back in Biblical times, so there is a fair chance...but the door is open for everyone.

Of course, just like any murderer, rapist, thief, liar, etc, etc. We are ALL sinners, no matter how good you think you may be. If you SINCERELY repent and believe on Jesus and ask him to forgive you and save you, he will.
