I think he has a lot to say about both mental and physical health.

The first scripture is the "body is the temple" scripture. We are to treat our bodies like the creation it is. That means to do our part to take care of it.

He also gave examples like Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego who ate vegetable and were more healthy than those who ate fatty meat.

A lot of the Old Testament law was based on eating healthy. Think about the lifestyle in those days and the personal hygiene. Can you imagine how nasty it would have been in other cultures in that day and age???

He also gives plenty of good advice about mental health. The fruits of the spirit are love, joy, peace, etc. which all promote positive thinking....don't let the sun go down on your anger, but settle your grievances....forgive one another....etc.

So, I think God does care about us and gives us lots of instructions to take care of us.

I really don't think he says anything about your body!!! I think that he gave us life and its up to us to deal with it >>>be it good or bad!! he will not frown upon us if he is truly what he claims to be>>> the almighty >> its up to you to decide what u want do with your body > just remember who owns your soul >>> your health is your option sometimes and again sometimes not , its something to in such cases why would god let all our ///his children die needlessly my in put not the word of anyone else . that's who i am . touchy subject>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

"Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, and that you are not your own. For you have been bought with a price, therefore, glorify God in your body." 1 Cor. 19-20
Take care of the body you are given!

Judging by the postings from believers, he is not too bothered about the mental side of it.
