Try the following : do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. The 45 minute thing is not true, but don't over 60 minutes at a time.
Do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
Read fitness magazines, like Shape and Fitness for motivation and tips.
Good luck and stick at it.

I think exercise is the best way to lose weight. For your bum try doing squats they really work and for your hips try doing side bends. Just do 3 sets of 20 each day and you'll see a little difference maybe after a month. Try it it'll work.

Not sure about hips - but Winsor Pilates has a thigh and butt workout that's great!! It's 20 minutes three times a week and really works.

It is impossible to lose fat in a specific area, most people have trouble in believing this as we are always told otherwise. A good diet is a must but I would suggest cardio vascular training (treadmill, cross trainer that stuff) try to get your heart rate to 65-75% of its max as this is when the body best utilises fat as energy, any higher and you start using other systems for energy. To work out your max heart rate just use this formular 220-(your age)=max heart rate. example- im 19 so to find my 65% I would do this 220-19=201 then 201 divide 100 X 65=130. see easy. Anyway in my opinion curvy chicks are way sexier than thin. Good luck with your training!

You need to keep losing weight. Unless you have a normal BMI. For a lot of people the last weight to come off is the first that you put on.
