Hi there,
Do something that makes YOU feel good or happy. Do you have any hobbies or interests?
A good way to relax is to have soothing music, a nice hot bubble bath, and no lights but candles lit.
Wrap yourself in a blanket by a fireplace or on the couch and read a good book.
Anytime you feel sad you can talk to someone about it, but just don't keep it to yourself. Have you considered keeping a journal?
I hope you feel better soon. Take care.

If you're crying all the time, you may need some counseling. If it's less serious than that, here are some things that you can try:
Meditate. Consciously relax your entire body. Close your eyes. Picture a candle flame. Use your mind to sustain this image. Watch it flicker. Keep sustaining the image.
Do deep breathing exercises. Breathe in through your nose. Your belly should inflate as you breathe in. Exhale through your mouth. Your belly should deflate as you exhale. Concentrate only on breathing this way.
Also, just get out of the house. Go do things with friends and family. It's difficult to keep worrying at bad memories of the past when you're busy creating good memories in the present.
Get involved with a group, whether it be church-related, school-related, a book club, volunteering for a charity ... just go do something you enjoy.
Good luck!

As you do not precisly mention what is the cause of your problems it is hard to give an exact answer.
Many couples only stay together because of the children I presume that this may be your case.
Keeping is good to keep your mind on something else. But to totally relax meditation is a good way. There are many kinds of meditation and it will take a while for results but it does work.

Bless your heart. I've been there. It takes time to get over trauma like that. It can affect your physical health. Talking to a doctor could help you. There are some excellent CD's for relaxation that you can find on the internet. I'll give you the link for my favorite. She has good credentials and will write or talk to you personally. I have several CDs and one that she made personally for me. Take care of yourself!

When you just wanna relax go in a quiet room, close your eyes and just imagine a candle burning. Keep it in you head till it slowly melts away. It's a good relaxation tequnique, but don't let yourself be afraid to feel either its good to get all those bad emotions out instead of holding them in. Good Luck

Your mind MUST be occupied, with what is up to you. You can not have or put your mind on 'blank', anybody that says otherwise doesn't know what he/she is talking about, even if you think of nothing but black you must think of black.
That said, while you can not prevent yourself from thinking, you can direct your thoughts, involve yourself in something that is intellectually stimulating for you, recommending what works for me is of little use since you may find boring what I find interesting.

Remember that you cannot control how others act. You can only control how you react. Say to yourself: " I lovingly release today and slip into peaceful rest, knowing tomorrow will take care of itself. " And believe what you are saying. It might work for you. It works for me. Good luck.
