For some, part of the appeal of a forum like this is to be able to show a different side of your personality that you may or may not be comfortable with in "the real world."

But for the most part, I speak/type the same way. But's that's because I prefer to answer questions honestly. There are times when I joke around on some of the answers, but if the question asks for seriousness, I give it.

Absolutely.

The internet opens doors that could not be open in a lifetime to people far away too.

If you treat people like you would a friend who is sitting next to you, then it gives people real meaning online as well. It makes the first meeting much easier too, because you already know how the person thinks before you meet them. This is very important and should be taken seriously as well.

After all, putting people first is the trend now. Isn't it about time that we treat it as we would people near us in real life? I think so!

why would I change just because I'm not face to face with them. I never change the way I talk. My thing is, if you don't like me for who I am on or off the internet, I don't care! =)

On the phone, in person or internet. I always try very hard to treat people how I would like to be treated.

Nop, I dont think I do, atelast not right away. I think most people are more shy in person and more careful of what they say and online you can be more outgoing and flirt more. There is not real fear of rejection online...you can just turn off your computer if you want to. :)

Absolutely, the people that alter their egos and behaviors under a veil or disguise have issues that years of psychotherapy ain't gonna help! Be true to yourself first then you don't have to wonder who the hell you should be!

Yes, and some of you are lucky you don't have to spell while you're talking to someone face to face. Ha ha ha. That is too funny. Awesome...
