Thailand: -Go to Chiang Mai! It is an amazing area, it is the main city in northern Thailand and there is plenty to do in the area. The food is great, people are amazing, and the Sunday night market is the best place to bargain. -Pai is another place you must visit, it is a 3 hour bus ride from Chiang Mai and it is a great place to spend a weekend. -There are lots of places to go around Chiang Mai so just go to travel agents and see what trips they offer, you can usually plan them yourselves but its nice to have an idea of what is around you. PS eat plenty of Mango sticky rice!!
I went from Nong Khai (NE Thailand) to Laos, it is right on the boarder with the , Vientiane capital of Laos so it is very easy to get to. If you go to Nong Khai you have to stay at the Mut Mee, the people are amazing and the food is wonderful.
Laos: I didn't spend much time in Vientiane, but friends did and loved it. You can go to the Beer Lao brewery and drink for free. There is also an amazing sculpture park. -Luang Prabang is a very popular place in Laos. The trip to the Buddha caves was amazing (the views in the boat are better than the actual caves). And there is a waterfall that is pretty touristy, but still amazing if you climb all the way to the top. -Vang Vien is a small little town but go tubing down the river! It was amazingly fun! We stayed and the Riverview guest house and I would recommend it to everyone, very cheap and very beautiful!
All in all have an amazing trip! Thailand is an amazing country and Laos is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been.

Bring lots of condoms. The going rate for a "girlfriend" in thailand tends to be 1000 bhat. I'm not sure of the exchange rate now, since it flucutates a lot, but when I was there about four years ago that equaled about 20 bucks.
I can't say how you feel about paying for it, but after a few drinks, it sounds like an awful good deal, and there's a lot of persuasive ladies around making the offer... Of course, some of them happen to be men, so make sure you know what you're paying for.
I'll also reccomend visiting that big temple, Angkor Wat, or something like that. Lots of weird carvings and all.

Laos roads are not so good.
You should travel from Thai/Laos border to Ventiane by boat on the Mekong river.

Stay away from the monkeys in Thailand..... They almost ripped off my brother's finger..... Thailand is beautiful, enjoy your stay!

Send the Opium through the mail to a Post office box. If you try to bring it through customs... they will cain you and lock you in broke down palace with Claire Danes and what's her face..

if u want to see natural country go to mae hong son province.u can hitch hike people are very friendly.On november there's many little sunflower all over the hill there very beautiful.
