First of all it won't - we currently have enough military members to fight, but if it did I would serve my country with my head held high. Only that i had the honor to do so. Freedom isn't Free.

First, I am a female and if they drafted females I would go! It would be my duty as an American to fight for my country. Second, I have already served this great nation as with my husband and two of my brothers. One of which, is on his way to Iraq for his 4th tour. As for Mr. President Bush being my Commander in Chief, nothing would please me more. But we fight for our country not for the men who lead them. Freedom will never be free. I can not look at our flag, without tearing up. I think of all the sacrfices men and woman have made or will make to keep this counrty what it is. I hope this answers your question.

Lets put this into terms you can understand...

You have your house.

A gang from another neighborhood steals 4 cars.

Two cars are rammed into your house, one crashes into your Mothers house, and the last drives off a bridge with your your siblings (for however many siblings you have adjust the size of the car in your imagination)

So your kids die in your house from the two cars, your mom dies from the car into her house, and then all of your siblings die after they drive off a bridge.

Lets say the drivers and thieves of these stolen cars live in a group of neighborhoods called "The Middle East". A lot of sand is there. One neighborhood called Iraq, another called Afghanistan and a few other ones we don't need to mention (you get the gist, right?!).

You find out that these suicide car drivers all live in the "Middle East" neighborhood. They put on grand displays of hatred toward your neighborhood, your family. They are proud of what they have done to your family.

Your mad, furious! So you call up all of your friends...

They say they don't want to help you because killing is bad and they don't like previous decisions you have made. You know you cant do it alone.

You think " this is wrong, your family could be next?!"

Now your so called friends are protesting around your neighborhood saying you should be evicted because you want to go to war with the "Middle East" neighborhood.

Erudite, This is where you stand. You are the group of friends who wont help...

because why?

You suck.

I seriously doubt if a draft were to happen, but if it did first of all...
Its not fighting for Bush! Its fighting for country. HELL YES, I would do what I had to do, the same as the rest of my family. Proud wife of a US soldier, daughter, grandaughter and neice of US SOLDIERS. Anybody who would run like a little coward should feel free to stay there and be treated as an Illegal immigrant when they tried to return! Upon returning they should then be held subject to UCMJ.

Already served, too old now, but didn't turn into an idiot wanker like you obviously did.

This isn't Bush's war, it is the US's war, and we're all in it together, despite your cowardly whining. It was started when the Islamist assholes attacked us.

And regardless of what our resonse was, the correct path that Bush has taken, or your cowardly path of appeasement and cringing, your children and grandchildren will still be targets of the Islamists.

I don't have a good paying job, and I still wouldn't be proud to go and serve. I did my time, and if there's a draft, I'll be halfway to canada before it ever starts.

If I were between those ages.. and called upon... I would do my second tour of duty and serve proudly... as I served proudly the first time....

But we all know there is not a reason for a draft currently... and it would be doubtful that we will have to again, without a full-out WWIII with major ground battles against a highly populated and technilogical foe.... but leave it to the Libs to try and bring out the word "draft" to try and scare people

I've done my time, I would do it again if I was asked by the Government, although in a different service, maybe the Marines or Army. The Navy was a learning and growing experiance. I am still "young" enough to go back in, but time is slipping away.

If they ever decided to draft women I would. And for the record, like the others said, I wouldn't be fighting for Bush, I'd be fighting for our country.

this is a mother evrey monster of a question. yes i would be more then1/2 of me wants my sons to go but the other 1/2 of me question why? this is our country and we need to stand tall and stand our groundfor our country. as for the children i would MAKE SURE my kids and MY JOB is waiting on my return with extra benefits. and if i don not get to return to me family i would have to be garonteed the my children would know what a proud soldier i was and that they have a garonteed college fund waiting on them. but i all reality i pray that if ANYONE goes it for the right reasons not for the sake of who is better then who in the war world(countries).
