I almost always wear my hair up and off my neck. I have noticed over the last few months if my hair falls on my neck it itches and continues to itch for a few hours. I don't wear my hair at the base of my neck but up higher so its not my hair tie, And it happens even when I use a clamp. I have not changed soap, shampoo, conditioner or laundry soap. It only itches when my hair has fallen on my neck, even just a little hair causes the itch. Does anyone have a clue if I could be alergic to my hair?

I don't think so. Maybe to the treatment you use in your hair though.

I think you may have sensitive skin and your hair is not down enough to rough up those pores. What about by your ears, or your cheeks when your hair is down? If you continue to itch and even get irritations, maybe see a dermatologist.
Although, do you wear your hair down when you sleep too? May be try that first. Then, gradually work up to wearing it down more, or get a short hair cut.
What about your stying products...did you accidentally spray your neck, when you were spraying all those little hairs up?

you be attentive to, I even have considered this till now whilst i substitute into in person-friendly training. My answer is going to be based off of my very own opinion and not extremely information that I examine someplace, so it relatively is achieveable that it relatively is incorrect. Does the rash look sort of like pimples, even however you be attentive to it is not? What i'm thinking, is it would desire to be the warmth/humidity you have trapped under your hair once you have your hair down. The sweat gets into the hair folicules and irritates them, making it painful and sense/look like pimples. So extremely, its no longer approximately you preserving your hair sparkling or the products you're employing, in my opinion. whilst i substitute into in person-friendly, I observed an outstanding variety of ladies have this problem by using fact of each and all of the interest we've been doing, their necks would get sweaty and we've been in a moist ecosystem. The dampness gets caught contained in the little hairs on your neck. have you ever tried employing face cleansing wipes on the back of your neck a pair of times an afternoon, to maintain your pores sparkling? that would help. i be attentive to it extremely is nerve-racking and not help a lot with self assurance to have that difficulty.

Your body is not in the habit of producing something that is self destructive. More than likely it is what is in your hair .If it just itches ok. If it breaks out or rashes change any lotions you use and or see doc.

No, but hair can cause an itchy feeling. That's another reason you want to wash off after a hair cut.

I can't let my hair get long either.

Maybe your neck has just become more sensitive due to not having the hair on it for so long.

no,because if u are allergic to ur own hair, the body treats it as a foreign protein, attacks it,and it falls out-alopecia or alopecia areata(full or partial baldness).maybe just a rash because of hot weather,it gets sweaty under the hair, and it itches?definately see a dermatologist.good luck !

It may be that you are allergic to your shampoo. I know you haven't changed it, but companies sometimes change thier formula. Try different hair products.

maybe you have split ends or frizzy hair, that's why! well, whatever the reason, why not try to use shampoo with menthol, or put calamine lotion to your neck area..it would be wise to consult a dermatologist.
