what is the difference between when DVD player said they play all regions from when they say 1, through 6?

one dvd player says all region, but one says 1,2,3,4,5,6. what differences? who do you trust.

It may not be technically "all region", but a player that plays regions 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 pretty much covers the whole world. Region 7 isn't used, and Region 8 is for special cases like cruise ships and airliners.
