1. A world where all forms of religion and spirituality are forbidden.

2. Or, a world where ONE religion bans all other forms of religion and spirituality and forces their own religion on ALL the people of the world.

Why?

I guess your right, you can't ban spirituality. It is something within, but people can try brainwash you or try and damage your spirit.

Both are same .

Both are forcing their own "belief" and stopping others to decide for themselves.

Basically you are asking something like if I would like to be a dinner of a crocodile or a boa constrictor.

You should never confuse religion and spirituality. Even an atheist can have a spirit that trancends his "mortal coil". This is an inate gift that all humans share: the belief that there is something better to strive for and that anyone, no matter their beliefs, can reach.

As to your question, historically, most 'modern' religions have caused nothing but strife in that they claim to be the 'true word of God' and that all other religions are somehow blasphemous. WHY they believe this is a mystery. I really don't think that God came down, pointed at them at said "YOU are right".

Therefore, if only given your two choices, I would have to say that the world would be better without formal religion, but let everyone have their own beliefs and their own spiritualtiy. And let there be no strife over something no one can prove one way or the other.

They are the same.

Atheism and Communism and Fascism are phiosophical beliefs, hence they qualify as neo or quazi religions.

These are the only groups that would make such an edit as your #1.

The fact of the matter is, all you do is drive the other views under ground. Once they're underground you don't know who is who.

And if you persecute them you breed terrorism.

In your views, both of them, if a religious terrorist cell inflicts, say a car bombing, the Religious or FAcists leadership could retaliate by wiping out a whole city.

Then you get the rank and file fearing you or hating you.

Most tend to fear.

Most people in the world are spineless. They'd go after the minority view, look at what Hitler did with the Jews. He got the rank and file to go after them.

All it takes is a Blitz or two.

Remember this reality, however! Not only did the rank and file of Romania SHOOT their long-time communist leader they ALSO SHOT HIS WIFE.

That is how the rank and file deals with liberation.

What did his WIFE have to do with anything, yet the Romaians shot her, right along side of him.

Now, what do YOU think is worse

Killing all the leaders, be they poltical or religious, at the time of liberation

Or killing all the leaders, their mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, wives, cousins, aunts, uncles, children, nieces, nephews and in-laws!

The Romanians showed us how they dealt with a Facist!

The Italians hung Musollini and his Mistress.

So that is the nature of man.

When man has had enough of opression, man tends to want to favor genocide.

How does that fit into your concept!

this is a hard question - i think number one sounds a lot nicer than number 2, if we all were forced to believe and follow on one religion then obviously we wouldn't have freedom of speech, we woudn't be able to live life as we would have liked to have done. Number one though sounds boring and ...dry, because each and every religion is like a guidance to people and without that we wouldn't think of things like, "everything happens for a reason." , "do not kill ", " do not drink", all the things that are forbidden by religions, this is what makes us different from other people. Our beliefs. Which both options we do not have freedom of speech, we dont live life the way we would want to. So it kinda makes u glad that these sort of things - our choice of a religion arent forbidden. Whether we want to believe in God or not, we do have freedom of speech and most of us spend life the way we want to.

Hello Para,

It's exactly the same thing. In both cases peoples freedom to make a choice is taken away. And these two choices are seemingly prevalent in the world thinking format today, ummm or is that to simplistic?

As i see it the Americans want to lead the one world order to police the nation and dictate to everyone else what religion we should not associate our selves with and on the other hand the Muslim nations want world domination. At least that's what the media would have us think. Then again the Illuminate may in fact be manipulating every nation to gain control through fear?

For me a straight answer to your question is number 2, where a religion bans all other religions. However I like another can not see how the spirituality can be banned.

Is this not what is coming if one does read the Bible and does accept it as an information source? Does if not say that such will be put in place by the anti-Christ?

So my answer to your why is that if the God of the Bible set it in place because it is like the last straw to wake up humankind, I consider it the worst. You see I am one of those guys who does trust my God as I see Him as the God of the Bible. I see Him as knowing what He is doing and I see Him as one who does want me to understand Him and Know Him. In that I see that He does in sequences increase the pressure up to the limit before He just accepts that there is no hope left for those whom He desires to be His children. I see the sequence is from a little to a greater pressure to make a decision or choice to accept Him as your father or reject Him.

Please that is my view and it is good enough for me. You are free to have your own view OK and I will accept it.

Now do have a good day and thanks for the good thought.

You can't ban spirituality because of what it really is.

However that I like neither choice, I would still have to pick 2 as being the WORSE option.

I see a trend toward this in our world currently. Christians are constantly trying to force others to join them. Someone can’t even post on in the religious section of Yahoo answers and not have someone stick their foot in and try to make it about the Christian god.

It would be nice if I could live my life without someone else trying to force their opinions down my throat. (Especially when they come and try to do it at my home, my place of work, or my school!)

(technically atheism is a religion it simply believes God doesn't exist it is still an opinion about God. so you can't have a world without religion)

if you try and force religion of any sort you will have a disarster. true christianity is a friendship with God people have been trying to get rid of it for years. because God loves this world there will always be someone somewhere who loves him and he sent his son so anyone who wants to can be friends with him. but if you try to force christianity on people you end up with a religion not a relation ship. many people who claim to be christians are not when you force any religion on people rules are made that prevent people from living the way they should as people (some) try to take controll and put themself in charge.

I think 2 would be worse - many times have religions been banned - this just forces those believers to go 'underground' and so there will never truly be one world religion.
A world with no religion ...... ? Given the number of wars throughout history that have been casued by religion is say ban them ALL!!!
Love and Respect - thats all we need!

I think the first case would be worse because in a world where there is a religion, even though it`s forced there still is hope. I mean we would eventually get used to that religion and in a few hundreds of years people would forget that they were forced to have it.

A world where all forms of religion and spirituality are forbidden.

At least the other way you have SOMETHING to place hope in
