The Iraqi insurgents are just a rag tag group of people so how come we are always getting a rear end thumping? This war has gone on longer than WW two. Why?

Don't give me this "We kill more of them than they kill of us". We killed more of the enemy in Vietnam than they killed of us but we still lost big time and we all went down in shame.

So much of a rear end thumping that we are forced out of territory... oh wait, that is not happening

So much of a rear end thumping that they are killing more of us than we are of them.... oh wait, that is not happening either

So much of a rear end thumping that they are taking over the newly formed democratic government that is growing in Iraq... oh wait, that's not happening either.....

The occupation of Germany and Japan after WWII took much longer than the actual "war", in order to help reconstruct and set up the new governments... hmmm... look familiar... it is EXACTLY what we are doing again

And to think we will ever FULLY be out of Iraq... again preposterous.... we always have some sort of presence (non-occupying presence) in countries after a victory in war... as support for the newly formed allied government.....

Hmmm??? Killed in a war zone? WOW! You have got to be kidding. Who would have thunk it? ARE YOU SURE YOU WERE IN THE MILITARY??? Its a war people die. Why can't you say something about the good things we have done overseas? Yesterday the Al-Queda bombed a funeral.. Many of the survivors lives were saved by ...... yep you guessed it. AMERICANS!!! The Afghan people hate the Taliban and Al-Queda more than we do. Wouldn't you help someone begging for help? Or just sit back and b**** about it and wish someone else, somewhere else would make all your problems go away? Probably not even that. Then you wouldn't have anything to whine about. I'm not sure why the media never covers the good. I know we have treated and released 1000s of Afghan people who have been attacked by Taliban and Al-Queda but it never makes the papers. And as far as our military brothers in Iraq, Army, Air Force and Marines. You can bet your A$$ that the death toll on the insurgents/Al-Queda is far greater than ours.

Why don't you walk onto a Marine Corps base and tell the Marines in person that they are getting their butt thumped. See if you come back alive.

Now try this,
Go to Haditha in Iraq and play around some insurgents, and you will be praying for a Marine to be nearby.

Mmm... 6 years in the Military? Must be Reserves. Judging by your anti-American and anti-war attitude I bet you were not in infantry (you wimp) or in the Marines (you wimp again). What kind of man are you?

Are you disgruntled because no one loves or respects you?

That's because insurgents are more than a rag tag group of people you jackass. They know the land and the desert; they are experts at guerrilla and unconventional warfare. In the end they have an edge. To add to that misery, more and more pour in everyday from Syria, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, etc.

It is a war. The insurgents may be rag tag but they know the countryside and when and where to strike. It is sad that we have to inccurr these deaths when we shouldn't be there in the first place. And it is now a civil war but no one will seem to admitt that.

It's not about more being killed today, it's about the medias ability to report current K.I.A's in real time due to the advances made in media reporting. If you think about the invasion of the beaches of Normandy during WWII, more than 25,000 brave men died to take those beaches. We have lost 1300~ in 4 and 1/2 years in Iraq. As each loss is very significant, it's just the ability of today's modern media to better display those losses that multiplies the effects of each life extinguished in this current operation.

Cause in WWII we could see the enemy...they stood up and faced us head on....here we are fighting a group of people who run and hide and won't stand and face us....it takes a lot longer to defeat an enemy when you have to go and find them....You call this a rear end thumping....Look at the deaths of US troop during WWII and Vietnam....then look know.....you might not think that anymore....we lost more troops in one battle in WWII than we have in the whole war on terror....think about it....SUPPORT OUT TROOPS, SUPPORT THIS COUNTRY....

The reason this war is still going on is because the insurgents are cowards and won't fight like REAL men.

They are nothing but pig sucking cowards in my eyes who will only plant a bomb and run with their tails between their legs and hides out in their little pig pens.

Because it's not PC to use all the weapons in our arsenal. The only reason any of our troops are killed anywhere, since WWII.
