It depends on the vet, and unfortunatly they're not cheap. Will probably do xrays, meds, setting if needed, and lets not forget the 30+ dollar office visit. IMO from my experiences, it's going to be at least 150-200. But again, that's going to depend on your location and the individual vet. Like someone else said, see if he'll take payments if you can't afford it. Maybe shop around for another vet also, there are vets that are more interested in animals in pain than money..........just hard to find them.

There is no way to give an estimate. He will need to do x-rays to determine where the break is and whether compound or simple fracture. After the x-rays he will be able to give you a better idea of cost. Most vets will allow you to make payments and often they don't even charge interest. If the cost is going to be very high, you could also consider having the cat put to sleep, which would be more humane than not treating.

It's hard to keep a cat indoors with three youngsters in the house and it is something you should consider seriously. I doubt if the cat broke its leg indoors.
You have a hard decision to make if you cannot afford x-rays and treatment. So you have learned that if you cannot afford vet treatment for your cat in such an emergency you keep the cat in and almost eliminate the possibility of it being hurt badly.
I hope all goes well and you can treat the cat and make regular payments to the vet for his services.

It's a shame this happened to you and your cat. It's also a shame that money has to come between treatment or euthanizing...putting her to sleep may be the cheaper course. As a mom of three myself we have "no vet" critters, like fish and hermit crabs. If they die, we get another. The bill we only get higher with each x-ray. You could also ask the vet for a payment plan, explain your situation. More vets nowadays are in it for the money than actually helping the pet and it's a shame. Good luck!

I wish I could help you but it is impossible to make an estimate. There are just too many variables. One way or another the cat needs to get to the vet. HOPEFULLY you will be able to have her leg set, etc. but the hard sad truth is that either due to the extent of the injury, your limited budget or both this might not be an option. In this case you would have to have her put down.
Also, you will need to consider your ability to provide whatever special care she may need, and her quality of life from this point forward. These are never easy situations! Hope for the best but be prepared for the worst.

Unfortunately, it's too difficult to determine until the vet sees your cat. He will give you an estimate after the exam and before he begins treatment.
If the treatment is going to be super expensive, speak with your vet about payment plans. They are usually willing to work with most people.

not sure but you can probably talk them into letting you go on a payment plan. Thanks for having the sence to get your cat well again rather than let it suffer just because you are having a hard time with finances right now. after you get this paid off, start setting maybe $5 a month aside for vet care incase of emergencies, or for routine care.

Wow. I don't have an estimate but maybe a suggestion. Here in South Carolina we have an SPCA that is cheaper than an actual vet. So try calling you local SPCA and see if they are able to help.

.
My grand daughter took her cat a few day ago to the vet and that is what was priced to her because of it's broken leg.
The surgery will cost anywhere between 600 all the way to 1800 dollars
She had the cat put down it was too pricey.
