Hey. I have a Canon 50mm lense. Actually, it belongs to my school. I'm not completely sure what happened, apparently I dropped it or something...

The part of the lense with the actual glass on it has popped off. Is there any way to fix this or do I just have to pay for a new one? Please, if you know anything help me out!

There is probable no way that you will get the lens aligned once put back together. It takes specilazed equipment.

I would suspect that the amount of money that it would take to repair the lens would far outweigh the cost of buying a new one. There are lots of places you can get your lens repaired at such as KEH.com which is a fairly reputable repair service center. If the cost is too much to repair how about just buying a used replacement? The same company I mentioned above sells great cameras at very reasonable prices.
