Do everyone think that homeschoolers are a bunch of sheltered kids who don't know anything, cause i know alot that aren't and some are only homeschooled cause they can't keep up with normal schools or there peeps don't want them to get behind in school.

The idea that home schooled children sit in a dark corner all alone is pure fiction. It has absolutely no basis in fact, in any way shape or form.

Actually, the "normal" kids in school, and the "normal" teachers, couldn't keep up with me. I was far beyond the "normal" students in what classwork I understood and was able to study. "Normal" classes were exceptionally boring and going over the same thing dozens of times so the "normal" students would get it was tedious and repetitive. There were no local magnet programs available, so the best choice was home schooling so I could study and complete my work at my own pace without having to deal with bratty ignorance.

No they are not all sheltered. It depends upon the parents. My son was home schooled for 4 years but he was exposed to as many people and situations as possible as part of his education.

I think homeschooling is fine for certain children but I believe the majority of children benefit from being in class with other children.
