Most of the answers already given are correct. Look inside the person, not at the qualities on the outside. Who cares if they are overweight and have a third eye (well that's a little overboard), but I don't think anyone should be looking at appearances before they pick whom they want to date. That one person was right, beauty IS in the eye of the beholder.
If you find this person mentally and socially beautiful then it will be a wonderful relationship. If you merely like their appearance, the relationship is bound for disaster.
Remember, we all get old and our appearances never stay the same...something is always changing.
So if you like her for the previous reason, then go for it. But if it's for the latter, just remain friends.

Myself in the mirror. I need to be happy with who I am and what I have to offer before dating someone. I also try to make sure I have gotten over the last relationship I may have been in. I believe you have to love yourself before others can love you and you must be willing to put forth effort in a relationship. If I don't have (at least) have those two things then I'm not ready to date.

the first thing I look at before dating someone is are they a strong individual, are they looking for the same things in life as I am, where is this going to go for us, and most of all are you ready to start a relationship are you stable enough and mentally inclined to start dating?

Their family and how they treat eachother...thats how you can expect to be treated in the future...I think it's THE most important thing.

Look at the way she talks to u
If she seems really interested in what you are saying, where u r from and what u do,
then maybe itll work.

Be prepared - how you will speak, where you will go, be prepared to answer some personal questions..... try to be enthusiastic if you want to keep dating her but don't be over enthusiastic
