If they are wearing Tuxedo's it is the Grooms requirement to pay for the tux's. You also need to pick them up and return them. It doesn't seem like much but it is a huge help for the bride's family not to have to worry about pick-up and return. Also if the pastor or whoever is marrying them requires a fee, that is up to the groom to pay them. Reserving the hall and paying for the drinks is great. I wish my daughter's family in laws would have done that.

The grooms family traditionally hosts the rehearsal dinner the evening prior to the wedding.....

Call the brides mother and ask if there are any last minute things she would like assistance with such as being at the hall for set-up, hand-addressing invitations, or retrieval of items for the wedding (napkins, place cards ect. eeding to be picked-up from the printers).... Some of these details need just a warm body and the grooms family doing them frees up the brides family to do things only the bride or her mother can do..

Call your sons fiancee or her mother and offer your assistance in whatever they would like you to do...

Tradition holds that the groom's family hosts a rehearsal dinner for the wedding party. Is that the sort of thing you mean?

The tradition is to plan and pay for the rehearsal dinner. If you truly don't feel as though you're doing as much as you can then it might be helpful to sit down with the Bride, your son and the bride's parents and let them know that you're willing to take on more if they need help!

Offer to assist the brides parents financially. Traditionally the grooms parents used to pay for the honeymoon.

You should be getting together with the other parents and the couple getting married and have a plan where all this is mapped out.

wow, dont worry. It seems like your helping a lot. I wish my husbands parents were like you. They didnt do a thing. If I were you, just ask if there is anything you can do to help out, not just finacially. Like help set up, or manage food.
