Shhhhh! I'm reading Emily Dickinson to some newborn kittens before I give them their catnip-chamomoile tea.

(That's sensitive, isn't it?)

It is a good observation, and I'm guessing that you don't want just a simple yes or no answer, so I'll explain why my answer is 'yes'.

The way we lived - We grew up in the security of a family, in one neighborhood, one com unity, from the time we were little till we grew up. We knew everyone, everyone knew us, and thus no one ever felt bad about anything anyone in the community said or did, cause they'd know where everyone came from, and what their history was, thus always shrugged it off by saying 'Leave him, he's always like that.' Our jobs were few and decided either by family profession or education, and since needs were small, security was easy to find. We were natural and alert.

The way we live now - We probably don't live where we were born or brought up. And have fewer friends than our parents had before us. The world is shrinking, and there are people from different cultures and backgrounds that we do not understand fully, who we are careful with, like we would be with strangers in town. Our lives have become more competitive, our opportunities are immense, but so are the people who can now avail them. We now want more than what one person needs to survive, and greed is making us insecure, and insecurity has made us more cautious and politically correct. And thus overly sensitive.

Yes, I think most people are tremendously over sensitive. You have to wonder though if they're actually that sensitive or are they looking for someone to sue.

I'm not. I don't report people either. What's the point? why can't we accept their own views on matters??? Everybody is different. But I do get mad when people in this site post racist comments...

Only when it's not what they believe. Only then is it an issue.

As JR "Bob" Dobbs once said..."F*ck 'em if they can't a joke."
