How about a garden party?- you could have everyone dress as if they were all fancy in garden wear.
Or a poker night? You could go to the Casino, rent a room and have it decorated like las vegas in there.
I also like a cooking theme- you can hire a chef to come and show you all how to prepare a meal to die for! Make fantastic desserts, drink wine and have girl time!
Or- a spa party- where you all go spend the day getting pampered- lord knows the Bride to be needs it!
Good luck!

One of my favorites is an around-the-clock shower. Invitations include the hour of the day for the person attending to bring a gift which would be appropriate for use at that time. For example, if you had 1:00 a.m. you might bring a pillow, but 1:00 p.m. you may bring something for use in the kitchen (lunch time). Another idea is Around-the House, which is very similar, but requests gifts for certain rooms of the home. These type showers bring more variety and really allow guests to get creative with gift giving!! Best of luck!!

Or have a Bridal Tea Luncheon - those are continually high quality around 2 with tea and presents. some great concepts for favors are bridal bathe scrolls, advice enjoying cards, candy, bathtub salts, mint books - the checklist is infinite - fairly some diverse opportunities, that's what you sense maximum mushy with cyber web hosting.

Cooking Theme
That is the best I can think of. I can think of all sorts of games to play...maybe you could do a theme off the games you play.
1.) What's on the apron?
2.) What's in your purse?
3.) The clothespin game...can't say any words related to the wedding or you lose your clothespin and whoever caught you doing it gets the clothespin. At the end the one with the most clothespins wins.
4.) Word scrambles / crossword puzzle
Just some suggestions. Good luck!

I just threw my best friend her bridal shower on Sunday.
I had a "themed" shower, sort of.
The girl that I was throwing it for wouldn't have wanted a cheesy "typical" shower. She wanted something more elegant.
So I came up with the idea of having a wine themed shower (which the bride loved).
I had it at a local winery, bought wine for the guests to taste (and had punch for non-drinkers, underage, and for when people had enough wine), had the winery make appetizers (cheese and crackers, and fruit and dip).
I also gave the guests engraved wine glasses as favors (The winery sold them to me for $2/glass. They had the winery logo engraved on them, and I made tags that said "Jenny & Jim" and tied them to the glasses.)
I also used colors that accentuated the theme of the shower (rather than her wedding colors of: red, black, and ivory): wine and gold. I used wine colored table cloths, gold plates and napkins, wine and gold balloons, I even decorated the head table with fake grapes that I bought from Michael's. I also put hurricane lamps (with a wine colored candle inside) and lit them to set the ambiance.
Needless to say, the bride loved it, and I also got compliments from a lot of guests that said they loved the idea of having a shower at the winery, and thought it was refreshing and fun.
Good Luck!!! LK

hawian theme. you can have grass skirts and the neck things and for one game get some hoola hoops and cocnus and have each guest try to see how many out of 7 cocnuts they can get through the hoop.
If you have five hoops and five people to hold the hoops and enough coconuts for five people to throw at the same time that could be a great game and entertaining. If a lot of people do well then they will have to go agian and the person with the hoola hoop will have to step back 18 inches to make it harder

Make it a cooking theme!
Everyone brings a gift (off the registry of course) that is cooking/kitchen related and brings a recipe of theirs to go with it.
Have games that tie into the theme l
1. List ingredents to a receipes and the 1st person to guest the dish wins
2. Bring pics of unusual food items and 1st to get names wins( could be done with odd kitchen tools too)
