Were you impressed with their material? What were the pros and cons? I'm not sure about them yet.

I used two of their subjects (math and science) when I home-schooled my son for his 9th grade year - here's what I remember:

Let me start by saying he is a well-above-average student. He scored 760 and 730 on the math and English sections of the SAT, respectively, and finished at the top of his class in the public school from which he graduated.

He was frustrated by the math curriculum, because there were inadequate resources to explain something which wasn't clear in the lecture. He'd often get to the homework and have no idea how to proceed. I watched one of the lessons he'd found particularly frustrating and shared his frustrations. I was able to help him work through these problems, but someone less proficient in Algebra III and Trigonometry might have struggled.

The science curriculum was exclusively creation-based ... and struggled to present these beliefs as "science." It dismissed most accepted science as poorly though-out theories, but offered no real explanation for obvious discrepancies between reality and its own presentations.

My son actually enjoyed the science curriculum, but not in the way its developers had intended, I'm sure. I think he saw it as more of a study in religion and the lengths some people will go to defend an untenable position. I often heard him laughing during the science presentations, and had several "Dad - come here - you've GOT to see this!" experiences.

Hope this helps.

I'm using it now and I love it. My son has a new found interest in school and I expect him to do really well this year. I'm in my fourth year homeschooling and this is the best program I have used yet wish they had it for 2nd grade but they start it for 3rd and on. Do try this its so much better than just books. Next year my daughter will be using it too, and she cant wait. It's alittle over $200 and well worth it. Though I wish they would have explained how to use it better it took awhile to figure it out but lesson, test and records grades all in one place, what more could you want. They even have a options to print a report card.

Well there is a book called, "Exploring creation with General Science." Yes it is chirstian, but it is a fun book, has many science experiments and has a lot of facts.I think people should try that book.

And Saxon math is really REALLY good. It is not christian. You can also buy cds with it, they can be christian or not.

I wouldn't consider it since we homeschool using secular materials.
