If Mary had other children, and she was the mother of the Messiah, then that means her children would share some of the same type of DNA as Jesus. Would it not? If this is the case, can we track down a relative of Jesus today? Does Jesus have a family tree?

Of course Mary's DNA is still around. Just check out Elizabeth Queen of England for a popular example. The better question is to ask: Where did Jesus's Y-Chromosome come from?

And by the way you are the Christ's very own brother.

Did you ever think that each sip of the cup you take at Communion contains 10 of the actual molecules of water of the blood the Christ spilt from the cross?

He had several:
Matthew 13:55

"Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?"
Matthew 27:56

"Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedee's children."

But as pointed out you would need some of Jesus's
blood or skin to get a DNA map.

The only way that would be possible would be if you had a sample of our Lord's DNA. Now, where on earth would you get that? Also, you would have to construct the genomes of the entire Jewish race throughout the world to find the decedents of his brothers and sisters, and that would cost more money than anyone would be will to shell out. And finally, what would be the point of it anyway? A person's DNA has absolutely nothing to do with their holiness, which is all that God is interested in anyway.

Jesus had brothers & sisters(Matthew 13:55,56) for there would be no reason for Mary and her husband Joseph to not have normal sexual relations and there was no such thing as birth control then, but Jesus was the only one who remained perfect and no sin was found in him as 1 Peter 2:21-22 states: "For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:"
Jesus therefore being conceived through holy spirit from God(Psalms 83:18) did not carry the imperfect genes of Mary. His conception and birth were miracles from God and the fact that he was born perfect from an imperfect human was another miracle indeed.

This should be possible. I think it was said James looked a lot like Jesus. If the children of Mary had children and so on.

Yes. Significant research has been done by a guy named Laurence Gardner. I'm a direct descendant of Joseph of Aramathea. I'm not even being a wiseass this time - seriously, I am.

Edit: the Bible does too say he had siblings. Mary and Josph went on to have children in the normal way. I believe he is said to have has 2 or 3 brothers, one named James, and an unknown number of sisters.

Jesus was a product of emaculate conception. God chose Mary to be the one to give birth to Jesus. She did not fornicate with God to concieve Jesus. Therefore, I believe even if Mary had other children they wouldnt hold the same DNA as Jesus, as Mary only gave birth to him she didnt create him.

Technically Jesus would not have the same DNA as Mary's other children since he was not created by her egg and Joe's sperm like the other kids were. His family tree would be God, of course, and his and Mary Magdalene's children are his descendants.

I watched a show on the National Geographic Channel that discussed just this. I believe it was "Unlocking Da Vinci's Code." There is a church, I am sorry to say that I do not remember the location, that is led by those claiming to be descendants of Jesus Christ's family, if not Jesus Christ himself.
