before evolution there was always this sort of romantic thing from foreigners
the dracula thing, some foreign villian loves a woman, etc.

I'm a Christian and it doesn't offend me because the character of Tarzan merely highlighted how our surroundings mold us into who we are (not evolution). He was born of humans, but was raised by apes. Once he came in contact with humans again, he began to re-learn and remember how to act.
