If it was the third injection, you may select the option of being tested for the antibody. If it is present, you are safe to skip the third one.

Giving it three times is just to increase the likelihood that it "took". The first shot immunizes slightly over 60% of people, with two, it increases to about 85% and with three something like 97%. To give it to large numbers in the population, without followup testing, this is simply the most efficient.

If your doctor does not understand these concepts, search for a different doctor.

I missed my last dose and when I went back to the doctor they gave it to me and tested my blood to see if I would have to come back but I had the antibodies so I didn't. Go get the missed dose and ask for the blood test to check for the antibodies.

I worked at a job that necessitated a Hep
vaccine (research labs in universities and pharmaceutical companies), and had to start all over again when I missed the remaining shot.

Go back and start again.

Good luck

Then you have to start over from the very beginning. I know it can be a drag keeping these appointments, but if you don't then the others that you have had will be worthless.
