They insist on bringing up their exes to kinda show you that they're desirable and other women want them (that's the male ego). It isn't necessarily to make you jealous. However, if you bring up your ex, they get all insecure and hate to think you had someone before them (that's the ego again!) Double standard I know, but that's why.

G.C. is right. But also because they want you to know that they have been wanted by many women in the past and if it doesn't work out with you they will be wanted by many more in the future. They don't really care at that point if you get into another relationship.

well i think most men fill so high as if the are God,thinking that they are the only one who can talk about there relationship,and when a woman try to speak out they see them as a flirt,which get them irritated about such woman .the funny thing is that they don't see any git in them self.

He's probably insecure and wants you to be jealous but can't handle hearing that you had relationships before him. Tell him to grow up or shut up about his ex's.

I always talk about my Xs to my boyf. I ask him about his Xs but he never has a nice word to say about them so it gets a bit boring. They were either a phsyco or a cheating scum bag apparently.

its simple, the reason i feel like that, along with so many other guys is that, we want you to know that we have been hurt, but dont like to know that someone else made you happy, incase we're only a shadow to them.
