A shadow cannot have it's own shadow - because a shadow is merely the absence of light. For example, sunlight hits something solid, and so the light cannot reach area behind the solid thing; and that creates a shadow.
The shadow itself is just an area with less light than its' surrounding area, so it can't have its' own shadow.

A shadow doesn't have a shadow - it is a shadow. Shadows are illusions absences of light that have no mass and cannot therefore create shadows themselves.
