If a guy likes a girl, whether he is a bad *** or not, he tries and spends as much time around you as possible. They sometimes show some compassion. You have to add to this all of the above responses, except for a select few. Generally he starts making time to be around you.

Actually, when the guy glances at you, but yet tends to be shy some or not so outspoken, he's the keeper, cause he's appreciating your essence while he's yet, miles apart from you, and while your wondering if he'd ever talk to you, in his head, he's thinking of the best thing to say cause he's genuine and a true gentleman deep down.

First sign is eye contact. If he's shy he may look away, then you may have to initialize contact to find out. If he's not shy then it may be a long lingering look. He's looking to see if you are also interested. If you are interested, maintain eye contact as long as he does and smile. You'll probably be engaged in conversation, soon after.

If a guy really likes a gal, he will give her presents -- money, jewelry, candy bars, anything and everything.
If he doesn't shower you with gifts, he's not serious (and he's a tight-wad, which is the worst thing a guy can be).
