About 10 min ago my heart jumped into my throat cause the girl i love came online(YM) now i am basicly screwed in this as she only sees me as a friend but i can't help it...damn this oversentimentel heart of mine...damn me for not being someone she would like...Is this in anyway normal behaviour?

Yes, very normal.
You need to find out how to make her see you in a different light. Pick up line, "Do you believe in love at first sight? I just wanted to know if I needed to leave and walk in again." Maybe you need to leave and reinvent your self to get her attention.
i don't know you age, but sometimes women don't date friends because they need someone to fall back to when the boyfriend doesn't work out. Once they mature and stop falling for the bad boys, you will look pretty good.

Have you told this girl how you feel? Just because you think she doesn't want you is not nessirly true. Yes you could love some one who doesn't feel that way about you. But you will never know unless you talk to her about it.

completely normal. its terrific to be that in love. to feel the depth of your own emotions. she doesn't return the favor and that stinks but someone will and she'll rock your world.
